First timers on E-Bikes

We were seniors on e-bikes and we LOVED it. Sanna was our guide and she took us on a beautiful ride up to Sundance Canyon along the Bow River. The hike was a loop through the canyon that was quiet and there were very few others on the trail. We highly recommend this experience.

Amazing tour experience! Ebikes made getting around easy and able to see areas and scenery not accessible by car. Hike was also beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommend.

E-Bike and Hike

This was my first E-Bike experience and it was Tony Tiger grrrrrreat! Michelle was patient and encouraging with all 7 of us. She explained everything and modeled what we were to do. The ride was very nice and the stops along the way were perfect for pictures. The hike was nice with more great stops for pictures! I would recommend it!

We had the best time with Michelle, our guide. She gave great instructions on the e bikes, safety and equipment. The hike was gorgeous and we never felt rushed at scenic photo stops! I highly recommend this adventure!

Don’t miss this one

Sundance canyon on the 9:30 am tour in late May was way less crowded than anywhere else in Banff. We did see a black bear but the guide seemed very confident in his ability to handle the situation if the bear came closer, luckily it didn’t. I felt safe the whole time. Beautiful ride and hike. Great equipment. One suggestion: warn participants of tick season before not after the hike so they can dress appropriately. Otherwise it was fantastic!

Thank you for your review. Sounds like the perfect trip, including seeing a bear from a safe distance. A note on ticks: With climate changing, ticks have been coming out earlier and staying longer. They are of greater concern on sunnier slopes when travelling through tall grass/brush. Riding ebikes and walking along the wide path of Johnston Canyon would be considered low risk for encountering ticks.

Owen was an outstanding guide. He was knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the region. He gave clear instructions on the use of the e-bikes and assured our safety as we rode. The hike was breathtaking and challenging. We saw parts of Banff National Park that we would not have seen without Owen’s guidance. It was a wonderful experience.
