We really enjoyed having the ability to stop and start the audio tour over several days. The photos that came with each stop on the tour helped us make sure we were in the correct place.

The guide is excellently narrated, with a warm voice and a perfect pace for exploring the city without rushing. I really enjoyed how the narration transports you to the time when Avignon was the center of papal power, yet it never feels heavy: everything is told in a very engaging and approachable way. In addition, the app’s map is super accurate, so I could easily follow the route and listen to each story right when I arrived at each spot.

You need to use data to download the Touringfree app and then the Avignon tour wouldn’t download without Wi-Fi. No real directions of how to get to each stop. Tried Google maps and still didn’t see what we were supposed to. We ended after the 6th stop.
