The Rotorua and Hobbiton tour was such an amazing experience. My friend and I were kids again going through the movie set, hobbit houses and green areas. It’s been my dream to visit Hobbiton since I watched the first LOTR about 25 years ago.
We became friends with other three tour members. That was nice.
The weather was perfect, the location and set up of the grounds was so gorgeous. It was a dream come true to be there in person.
The Rotorua hot springs tour was so unique. Seeing the forces of nature and the remnants of volcanic activity was a gift of nature.
We got to experience de the geyser shooting up in the sky at 30 feet high. That was a mesmerizing experience.
Our tour driver and guide on the road, Geoff, was the best! He was I formative, cordial, polite, and super friendly. We all in the van enjoyed so much having him as our tour driver.
I recommend this tour. You won’t be disappointed, guaranteed!

Absolutely fantastic tour! Experienced the wonders of the geysers at Te Puia, the Maori culture and the fascinating kiwi sanctuary where I was able to see 3 kiwi birds! Then on to the amazing scenery of Hobbiton! Had the most delicious lamb & rosemary pie at the cafe before touring Hobbiton. But our driver, John, made the entire trip so much more enjoyable talking about history and many wonderful facts about the Auckland and Rototura areas. So glad I booked this fabulous tour! A great memory for my first time to New Zealand!

Hobbiton movie set was amazing! The set and its details took you to s wonderful Hobbit setting… so real. The geo thermal pools were so interesting… along with learning about Mauri culture!

It was great weather and Dave was a great host. We had some tome to stop for coffee and pastry. The rotorua tour was great but the end was a bit rushed. The hobbiton tour was terrific and at a nice pace. Loved having someone else drive us and got great Intel on new zealand on the way!

Hobbiton Movie set is a unique experience which makes another world come alive. Hobbiton is exquisitely beautiful with its detailed setting, set amongst rolling hills and lake.

What a great tour. Our guide/driver/joke teller/ Gary was GREAT!!! What a great tour. Rotorua and Hobbiton made out for an awesome adventure. The small group atmosphere only works when you're lucky enough to have a great group. I would definitely recommend for EVERYONE.

We had an enchanting time at Hobbiton Movie Set with our awesome guide “Peter”. He was really accommodating, very pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the tour. He provided us with lots information on what on to expect in the tour. We were even offered with water & some snacks. He arrived on time and guided us well through the entire journey. Keep it up, Peter…an easy 5-stars for you!
The Geothermal Valley was a bit disappointing as we were expecting mini lake versions of wai-o-tapu. While we understand that it’s a different place, the geysers were nice but we were expecting for a more unique body of water in the area.
Overall, the experience is great & this Hobbiton Tour is highly recommended esp if you will have Peter as your guide. Kudos & thanks to you Peter
