The option I chose for pick up when I made the booking was changed the night before the tour...what's the purpose of giving customers the option to choose the pick up point if it is not honored and changed without the customer's input?
As the only American on the bus, I had difficulty understanding and following along with the tour due to the tour guide's english speaking skills, he also did not understand my questions and even when I asked the same questions twice, I still didn't understand his answers.
The 2 drop off location options listed on the itinerary were not honored, customers were dropped off at bolivar street and some other street but it was definitely not the locations listed on the itinerary when I showed the guided the drop off addresses listed on the ticket, he basically said to walk the 2-3 blocks to the location..........very disappointing....to say the least..when you are a foreigner, and you plan to be dropped off at a certain location and you are dropped off at another location without warning........the feeling and words are ....indescribable,
I emailed the company afterwards to informs them..BUT RECEIVED NO RESPONSE

We regret to clarify that, although your hotel was not within our usual pick-up area as indicated in the program (hotels in the historic center), we made an exception to pick you up directly there for your convenience. Similarly, there were other English-speaking travelers on our list during the tour. Therefore, the guide provided explanations in both languages to ensure that everyone could follow the tour in the best possible way, and we received positive feedback from the other groups.
As for the itinerary, all the scheduled stops were made, and at the end of the tour, we tried to drop you off as close to your hotel as possible, within the routes allowed for the bus.
We are very sorry that, despite these efforts, your experience was not completely satisfactory. We truly appreciate your comments and will take them into account to continue improving our service.

Our trip was overall well organized/coordinated and our guide Vanessa was very kind, did the tour in both English and Spanish quite well and communicated clearly about next stops/itinerary etc. There were a few things in the itinerary that were missed/replaced. We would have liked slightly better food options and a nicer hot springs location. We enjoyed seeing the condors and the beautiful canyon. Our hotel was very clean and quiet, and appeared newly renovated, but lacked heat and the hot water was almost nonexistent. Overall the tour was quite good for the price.

This was a great tour! After travelling around Peru for about 10 days and having a lot of really long, intense days, this 2-day tour was just perfect.
Colca Canyon is quite far from Arequipa so if you chose to do a 1-day tour, you will spend MANY hours in a van.
Having two days was not only less tiring, it also allowed us to see other places in the area like the hot springs and some small villages.
Our guide Vanessa did a great job in taking us to points of the canyon that were not overcrowded with tourists.

The views are majestic and the thermal waters were very relaxing. Things that would make the trip better is a van with better suspension. The ride we had was extremely bumpy, felt every single imperfection in the road and hours of this led to string headaches. The places we stopped for food were also mid. Our guide was very punctual and did his job well in getting us to the destinations, though he is a bit terse at times. It’s definitely worth visiting the sites if it’s possible to do it with higher quality food and transportation even if it means higher cost.

Termal bath and folklor show were great but the real highlight were the condors. We were lucky to see 7-8 condors, few from up close.

The first day on this tour was pretty boring. It was a long bus ride to the middle of nowhere. The look out, one of the main attractions of the day, was completely covered in fog so we couldn't see anything.
To top it off our tour guide's English was difficult to understand and he provided very little insight. Only some basic info here or there.
The hot springs were very disappointing. They were just tubs of luke warm water from the mountains. Some were not open so the available ones were crowded. Not what we expected at all.
The hotel was freezing and had no hot water for showering.
The only thing we enjoyed that day was the dancing at dinner time. The dancers were very good story tellers.
The second day was better. Colca Canyon was interesting, but also foggy. It would have been better without the fog of course. We lucked out and saw some Condors, which we did enjoy seeing.
Somehow the number of people on the tour grew significantly on the second day. By the time we were picked up, we were shafted to the back of the bus which wasn't very comfortable.
If you want to do Colca Canyon, I recommend looking for a smaller tour size and doing it in a day. A smaller tour would hopefully mean you get a more personalized experience with a tour guide that could give you more insight. You can skip the hot springs (which we were excited for) and the cold hotel in Chivay. It's a longer day but having 2 days did not add much.
The buffets were medicor.

This is a great trip. You get to see so much of the countryside. The guide German was knowledgeable and spoke in several languages. We had plenty of time to stop, take breaks and photos. Instead of going to the hot springs I went to Colca Zipline, just 10 mins away. It was awesome.
The buffet lunches were delicious and of good value.
Only thing was that you got dropped off close to your hotel, well, 3 blocks away not door to door as ppromised.i had an elderly mother with me and she was tired. This put a slight dampener on things.
Overall it was a great trip.
