This tour felt like a ripoff

Madalin_C, Nov 2023
- the breakfast was one scrambelled egg and a bit of toast and jam - the first stop was at a colonial church you could only see over the fence, and some ladies with llamas waiting to charge you for a picture - 3 hours into the tour the guide mentioned we might not see any condors as they mostly migrate between November and April. It would have been nice to know before we booked the tour. We were there in the first half of november, especially for the condors. - the group in the minibus was mixed between a two day trek and the one day tour. We got dropped off at the condor view point and the mini bus continue with the 2day group and the guide. We were told they will be back in 1h and to wait for a different guide (we only had his name as reference, nothing else... good thing i took the time to write down the licence plate). We waited for 20 minutes past the agreed time until the minibus showed up. I wish i could have used this time to take pictures of the few condors that we could see instead of hunting for the right mini bus in the crowd. - once we left the condor view point we were taken to a hot spring (la chimpa), where entrence was 15 sol. When most of the group (11/15) showed no interest, we were told we couldnt wait in the bus and that we had to pay an entrance to just walk around the place. Me and my wife ended up sitting for an hour by the side of the road. The rest of the group wondered off and apparently got onto the hotspring ground, so they received a stern talk before being allowed back on the minibus. - lunch (restaurant turistico misti wadi, same as breakfast) was more expensive than we were told, and the food was insuficient - one grilled chicked for maybe 30+ people at the location - at the end of the tour, after another few uninteresting stops, we got dropped of on a random street near the city center. It would have been nice if they dropped us off in the central square. At the end of the day, it was a very expensive way to waste a day. Would not recommend it to anyone.

The worst private tour i ever had (private printed clearly on my ticket and contract

It was an awfull complitely old noisy bus!!!!! Not even 1 sit empty!!!!!! 5 big people in the back. We returned to the city at 20;00 istead of at 4 and were told to go down in the city - not the hotel. The long trip had many hours of waIting….i woukd not recommend this tour or unreliable viator to anybody!!!!! The bus had no heating ( everyone froze on the mountain water froze on the window) and no air condition in the 30. Degrees in the valkey

Just meh…

Trip was kinda lame. Don’t actually go to the 4000 m deep canyon just a small section to see condors at about 1000m depth. Included “breakfast” was a single scrambled egg with a piece of toast and that has to tide you over until lunch, bring snacks. It was a lot of riding around in a sprinter van to get out for 20 minutes to view some alpaca, stop at a market to buy the same stuff as everywhere else and spend about an hour at a hot springs. Not my favorite trip, our guide was good but would not recommend this operator. Additional costs included, park access, lunch, hot springs access, towel rental, snacks and drinks.

Some lacks to be reconsidered

Ludovick_B, Aug 2022
Our guide was very sweet, nothing against her. She was one of the kind and the views were breathtaking. But : - Serious lack of managing in the day schedule. We came back at 8:00 PM and we were supposed to be back at 5:30. The two hours and half late was not because of traffic at all. Making people eat breakfast at 7:30 AM and make them wait til 2:30 PM to eat lunch doesn't not make sense. - Breakfast was a real joke. Literally the portion of scrambled egg that we give to a baby. And Bread with butter. We can't even call this a breakfast. This really needs to be revised. - The price for every activities was not included. So finally we paid for the bus gas.

Long day, not worth the money

Lots of condors, but trip was a bit too long with +8 hrs in the bus. Lunch was not good and breakfast was almost not edible. Very expensive trip, given what you get (entrance tickets and meals not included).

Our guide was very informative and helpful. Keep in mind this is a one day experience and they pack alot in. If you want more time I suggest doing a two-three day experience. The bus was very comfortable as well!

Great trip

This was a great trip and I'm glad the tour guides picked me up on time from my Airbnb as punctuality is not very common in Latin America. Pros: -Hotel pickup/dropoff -Many sites to see before and after viewing colca canyon -Although there was a lot we saw in this day tour I never felt rushed. -Guides were knowledgeable Cons: -I understand Spanish, but if you don't you're not getting all the history and information as they summarize it when speaking in English. -We started off in a big coach bus, but then switched to a small bus which sucked as we were packed inside. -Great tour, but after visiting the cañon you will be very tired even though you have like 6 more hours left before you get home. All in all, it was a long day trip, but I enjoyed it and I would recommend it to others. I just wished they would include an express option where we could drive straight to the canyon and back while avoiding all the touristy stops along the way - I would pay for that.

Very Meh

ktydol25, Dec 2019
We were disappointed by this tour. The vast majority of time is spent on the bus (8+ hours of the 14-ish hour tour), and the stops themselves aren't very interesting. The actual canyon isn't all that cool, sadly enough, and other smaller stops on the way to and from the canyon were touristy and not interesting. Plus, our guide left something to be desired - he was very repetitive, and the constant switching between Spanish and English was difficult to follow. Overall, the day was very long and we were ready for the tour to be over. Wouldn't recommend.

Medianamente agradable
