Tour of Pompeii exceeded all expectations. The weather was perfect, the transportation was on time, and most of all, our guide, Frankie, enhanced the visit with his knowledge and guidance. He kept us away from the large crowds, gave us insights into the daily life in Pompeii. Frankie made the trip memorable and fun with is positive attitude. We will always remember his joyful "Mamma Mia!" and "Follow Frankie!" to keep our group entertained. What an asset for Viator.

Our Pompeii excursion was just amazing. Sasa was our guide and he mixed the perfect amount of knowledge and fun. His insight on life back 2000 years ago is incredible. The grounds, the buildings and whole 177 acres of what was once a thriving town are a sight to behold. It is awe inspiring and also a bit somber in the fact that so many people parished. This trip is a must see if you’re on the fence about taking it, and if you get Sasa that’s the cherry on top.

First, Enjoy Pompeii did an excellent job of coordinating door to door transport from our hotel in Amalfi, arranging for fast skip the line entry access, and assigning a private tour guide tour group of 12. I chose a midday entry rather than early morning and was thrilled that it was not very crowded as most tourists prefer early morning. Most importantly, our tour guide Sasa was the highlight. His multigenerational knowledge of Pompeii and his incredible detail brought the dead city to life with stories and visualizations that made you feel immersed in its ancient culture. We moved through the park at a casual pace and focused on the most interesting points of interest. Without his narrative there would have been so many things we would not have noticed or appreciated.

Our guide Sasa was amazing. He has great knowledge of Pompeii's history and a terrific personality/sense of humour. Just one down side (nothing to do with our guide at Pompeii), the location and time of pickup changed but I didn't receive any notification until the driver called me that morning saying he was going to have to leave without us. We managed to locate him and finally got on the bus. Everything was great after that.

This tour was a very good value it included round trip from Amalfi to Pompeii and the vehicles were high end. With only two of us going they sent a nice Mercedes car to pick us up. We were taken home in a nice Mercedes multi passenger even though there were only two of us. The tour itself of Pompeii was excellent and our guide was very knowledgeable. Excellent tour and I would recommend to anyone interested.
