Pick up lady was lovely. Horses well taken care of. Unfortunately no atmosphere. We walk around for an hour and half. Not given option to trot. Boring. Disappointed for the money we paid.

Fantastic Family Ride

Pick up was convenient and on time. It was good that two of the stable riders came out riding with us and did not just stay in one place all the time. They had good control of the whole ride. Horses were carefully selected to match those of us riding. I and others were able to use a step to get onto the horse which was helpful. Riding across the nature reserve and into the sand dunes was a pleasant experience with well-trained horses who coped well with crossing car parks as well! One of my family is an experienced rider and had the opportunity to gallop which she loved. Otherwise, this was a slow steady trek with a fairly large group. I felt safe. It was good to have the opportunity to ride around the ring whilst everyone was being mounted. I liked the fact that due to the heat the stables moved the time to slightly later to prevent the horses being put under unnecessary stress. There is a cafe where drinks and ice-creams can be purchased at the end if required and the stables were able to look after back-packs whilst we were riding.

Great experience but never again with Viator

The expérience was great. Gorgeous landscape, really long expérience more than 1h30. The guide was cool he take some photos of our groups so we can have our memories. The bad point is regarding the booker Algarve Explorer. I choose this réservation on viator si i can have a pick up. I selected it as it was written to do. They send me information of location the day before thé ride but because i already have selected a pick up i didn't opened the link of the location they send. Instead if telling me that there was ni pick up, they said nothing and sent a link to the stable. I thought it was just as information regarding the place. That was not clear at all. Si we took a Uber for the pick up chosen but no one was there. I called and fortunately they could book us a hour after. But as you can read, the title of this Booking is "horse riding WITH pick up". I PAID for it. And indeed, at the stable the price was really under what i paid in Viator. It was ok if i had the promised pick up. In conclusion, i recommand this expérience. But not with Viator (and precisely Algarve Explorer) ;) go for yourself, pay the real price and enjoy without issue because of a booker.

Pick up was on time. The horses were calm and gentle. Very suited to inexperienced riders. Unfortunately the trail was very muddy due to recent rains…….no fault of the establishment.
