The tour was excellent. I knock it down one star because the tour took over 3 hours and there are no planned comfort stops (bathroom breaks) scheduled. For us senior citizens, this is "no bueno".
The tour guide was amazing. I learned so much. I would very much like to do that again. I highly recommend.
The Amish families that we visited were over the top awesome. They were very friendly and shared their culture with us.
The driver was an imbecile! The tour made up for his lack of knowledge and lies.
My tour began on a sour note as our guide, tom, informed us that we would not be able to visit an Amish home on that day. I was highly disappointed as this was THE reason that I chose this particular tour. Not the guide's fault though. Tom was a very good tour guide. Did his best to make sure that everyone was enjoying their experience. He was full of home town humor and it was very evident that he was deeply involved in this community. The Amish businessmen we encountered were all very friendly and all of their children we met were very polite and well mannered. I would fully recommend this tour.
Recommendation: I would hope that in the future, scheduling with the local Amish is better organized in the future. They are the reason people go on this tour. It is disappointing when part of the tour don't happen and very awkward when the tour rolls up on a location that is not aware that someone is coming.
Thank goodness for tour guides who make up for the shortcomings.

The 3 hours flew by as Jim shared fascinating customs and history of the Amish. His warm and friendly personality, along with a corny joke or two, added to the experience. The Amish dairy farmer, leather worker and homemaker we met were most interesting and ready to answer any questions. Highly recommend you take this tour with Jim.
Very unprofessional.
They wouldn’t let us go on the van because we had 2 toddlers even though we got an email talking about toddlers being allowed. The van driver was going to allow us on and then one of the office members refused and told us to come to the office the next day to discuss our refund process. Today we went to the office and the owner was there and very rude and unprofessional. He seemed to have been informed about what had happened and also told me that l would not be getting my refund.

We will have to agree to disagree regarding your claims, but I am glad that you left this review, as it gives me a chance to describe our policies to any potential visitors, to help them avoid your experience.
First - Our refund policy is 24 hours. In other words, guests must cancel their reservation at least 24 hours prior to the start of their activity to get their money back.
Second - Our VIP (Visit-in-Person) Tour is not for small children. Children under the age of six are not allowed on the VIP tour.
Third - You must arrive on time. We suggest arriving at least 15 minutes before the start of your activity. We cannot hold the tour for late-comers.
Fourth - Make sure you have booked the right number of tickets for your party. If you book for 2 adults, and show up with 2 adults, and 2 children, you might not be able to get on the tour.
Absolutely wonderful. Our guide was very informative and the community was very welcoming and friendly.
Overall it was a very interesting experience where we learned a lot of the everyday life of the Amish. We first visited an animal farm, where we watch milking of the goats, explained how the milk was used for producing soap. Then visited another estate were metal tire frames etc were produced and at the end entered a private home where we weee able to talk to an elderly Amish couple and ask all kind of questions about their life.
From beginning to end was so good! It was like visiting family. Entire family from 10 years to to 65 years enjoyed this!
This was the highlight of our trip so far! We thoroughly enjoyed our guide, Jim, who was so knowledgeable of the Amish and obviously a great friend to them, which helped us better understand and respect the Amish way of life. It was very interesting and exciting to actually meet people and learn about their businesses (dairy farming and harness making) and especially to have to relaxing time to sit in the home of a lovely Amish family and get to know them through conversation.
We loved this tour. We had another Amish tour previous to this and were thinking. "Why did we book two Amish tour?" However, we are glad we did. Our guide, Joe, was much more informative and accurate with his information than the previous guide. The three locations gave a full experience and each of the people with whom we had conversations added a new component to our understanding and a richness to the experience. Thank you.

It was a great tour and you get to visit the Amish homes and have a personal conversation with them. Sitting in their kitchen or back deck talking was a treat. Our tour guide Kent was very knowledgeable and has wonderful stories.
Detailed information about amish history and lifestyle, in person visit at amish business and family. Jim was an excellent guide.
We felt as if we were really immersed in the experience. I loved the fact that we were able to see a farmer, crafter maker and homemaker in their element— milking cows, making buggies, and living daily life. I would recommend this tour particularly at this hour (5pm). What a way to end the day.

This was an incredible and in depth tour of Amish country. Would highly recommend it to anyone! We got to tour a private home, a working dairy farm and a working goods center. Truly a wonderful experience.
Beth was an awesome guide with lots of information to share. She obviously has built strong relationships with the Amish families she introduced us to, and her tour guests benefit from this mutual respect. The dairy farm and leather shop stops were great, but the opportunity to sit with an Amish couple to just learn about their customs and traditions was the highlight of our entire vacation. Thank you to Beth and all the Amish who welcomed us warmly and taught us so much!

If you want an up close and personal experience meeting and greeting with Amish people, this is the tour for you. Get to where the big busses don’t take you. And don’t go where the big buses go. This is not a tourist experience. It is a private experience.
