Explore hidden petroglyph sites and a mini-slot canyon on this 3 or ~5-mile (you choose) half-day adventure (2-4 hours) on the wild, less-traveled side of Snow Canyon State Park. DISCLAIMER: This rugged, off-trail tour crosses varied desert terrain —loose rocks, deep sand, uneven and slanted slick rock with light scrambling, frequent step ups and down and between 250ft and 650ft elevation gain (long route). At 3,500 feet, it requires moderate fitness and shoes with good tread. Not suitable for those with significant knee, hip, gait, or balance issues. Here's how a happy hiker described this tour: "We had a blast! Lydia knew all the best spots – there is no way we would have found these! Within minutes, we were climbing around the red rock like kids. Lydia brought us near the mysterious slot canyon, gave us a couple of hints, and let us discover 3 sets of amazing petroglyphs on our own—one of the coolest hikes I’ve done!" ~Robin, Carson City, Nevada
