What are people saying about Pompeii

Daniela was an amazing...
Daniela was an amazing guide! We had a fabulous time exploring Pompeii, and she made sure we got the absolute most out of our experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and interactive, bringing the history of Pompeii to life in a way that was both fascinating and fun. She encouraged questions and took the time to answer every single one thoughtfully. What really impressed us was how expertly she navigated the site, steering us away from the biggest crowds without ever making us feel like we were missing out on anything. We got to see so much, learn so much, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Daniela truly made our visit special, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. If you’re visiting Pompeii, I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Great overview of Pompeii & Herculaneum!
Great tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Our guide was a very knowledgeable archeologist who went through many very interesting tidbits. The walking was surprisingly alright (there's a few places to sit in the Herculaneum but not so much in Pompeii). We got very lucky with the weather - it didn't rain and wasn't too hot. Really cool that I got a Prima Business seat for my way back to Rome (free snack and drink). 100% recommend, I had a great time and learned a lot!

Viator is always great!
My 6th Viator tour, the guides never disappoint. Always very knowledgeable. I had Cheto (sp?) this time. Awesome. Good mix of areas visited for a quick tour, but if you want to really explore, you may want to pick a longer visit. Well worth the cost. 1 piece of advice (not part of tour) beware of the patio restaurant at the entrance to Pompeii, they tried to add items to my bill and were not nice about taking off.

Fantastic - even in the rain!
Our day trip to Pompei was terrific. Let me start by sharing that it rained almost the entire day, but everyone we came in contact with in regards to our tour could not do enough to overcome the weather and insure we had an amazing experience. Our driver, Giacomo, communicated with us from the moment he set out to pick us up. He shared many of the sites and highlights of the country as we traveled through the different cities, he even offered to pull over at one point for our morning espresso. Once we arrived at the meeting point, we met up with our tour guide Viviana, who, in spite of the weather never stopped smiling and sharing her fun personality with us as she brought us through the city of Pompeii. Pompeii itself is just simply amazing and Viviana had a way of bringing the city to life - even as we navigated puddles and flowing water throughout the ancient streets. After our tour ended, our bus was waiting to bring us to our wine tasting and lunch. We were greeted with the warm Italian hospitality we have come to expect, Gabriel introduced himself to us and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. The wine was delicious and, as a bonus, we were able to purchase some and have it arrive just as we get back home. What started out as what we expected to be a cold, dreary day ended up being a definite highlight of our vacation. Thank you.

Pompeii is the crown jewel of Italy’s archaeological treasure trove, but this ancient site is sprawling and offers little posted information explaining its jumble of ruins. Pompeii tours bring the history of the Roman city to life with archaeologist guides who provide insights about its excavated art and architecture, focusing on the highlights to cover the site in just a few hours. Pair Pompeii with a guided visit to nearby Herculaneum, a wine-tasting lunch in the surrounding vineyards, a hike to the volcanic crater atop Mt. Vesuvius, or a scenic excursion along the Amalfi Coast for an unforgettable day trip.
