There was a lot of driving and not much visiting sights. The lack of a guide at both Stonehenge snd Windsor Castle was disappointing. They provide audio guides, but one size fits all interests.
We ended up talking to a volunteer at Windsor Castle that provided a perspective we were looking for and answered our questions. That was much better.
This was an amazing day trip with a great guide- Phil. He was so informative and engaging! We enjoyed learning a great deal about Stonehenge, Windsor, and England overall. There was no question he couldn’t answer! Highly recommend.
First of all, getting to Stonehenge and Windsor, is not convenient on your own, so this trip makes it easy. The meeting location is also central for tourists and accessible by public transportation.
The time allowed at each location is perfect. Our tour guide Phil and our driver Autumn, were both outstanding. Phil was very entertaining on the bus rides there and back and gave great advice for what to see and when to see it - things I might have otherwise missed (like the chapel at Windsor closes at 4, so get to it early!) We loved having time to see the town at Windsor, for pubs and shopping.

That Simon is a wonderful tour guide. He told us everything we needed to know for both Stonehenge and Windsor castle. While we had traffic delays. He did make up for it by extending our time at Windsor. That was much appreciated! Note that getting food at either stop is on your own so budget your time or bring your own food. I highly recommend this tour!

This was an amazing experience and our tour guide @tourwithphil made it even more amazing! His knowledge of both the area and the history of England made the day purely magical. Stonehenge is awe inspiring as you look at those massive ancient stones and wonder just how DID they construct them?! Our guide pointed out other unknown things about the area we would have never known about such as the ancient burial mounds which are everywhere. The entire area has a magical feel to it. And Windsor Castle! Oh my gosh! It sits upon a manmade mound….made by WILLIAM THE CONQUEROR!!!!! It’s quite impressive from the outside and even more on the inside although photography is prohibited. The castle is still operational to the royal family so there’s areas you’re not allowed into. The chapel was surreal to see in person as I’ve only seen it on TV (Queen Elizabeth funeral and Prince Harry wedding). Just beautiful and solemn at the same time. The village outside the castle offers many places to shop and/or eat. I could’ve spent an entire day here, but it was limited to 4 hours….so plan your time accordingly.

Mel was the best part of London. Truly it wasn't a great experience any other time. Since England was the last part of our trip, we heard about a lot of the history between them and Scotland prior. I appreciated Mel's take on presenting information and making it interesting to listen to. My friend was bummed she couldn't touch Stonehenge and I was sad I couldn't take any photos inside Windsor. I will say finding the bus terminal within the station was not straightforward and when we did get there we were told to hangout in the general area.

Tour was very interesting and Mel was great but the first leg of the trip the audio system wasn’t working. Mel did his best but he couldn’t give the same info he would have if the system was working. Might want to check on that before boarding the bus.

Phil was our guide and he was really great. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of both sites as well as other bits on English history and made it so easy to listen to.
Our first stop was Stonehenge after about a 2 hour bus ride with a nice mix of storytelling and quiet. There, you hop a shuttle bus to the site and have about 45 minutes to take picture and walk the circuit - then back to the queue for the bus back to the visitor center. Just right amount of time.
Then, a 1.5-2 hour ride to Windsor that felt like the main event. More story telling on the way then he guided us in as far as he was allowed to go and then we were on our own. Get the free audio tour from the castle people but then be selective about how much you listen to. You have plenty of time there (about 2.5 hours) but won’t have time to see everything. The chapel closed at 4:00 and we missed seeing it.
Then back on the bus to London where the traffic was heavy so it took a while but more stories and rest time.
All in all, I’d highly recommend and am glad I didn’t try to fit in a third stop in Bath or Oxford as some of the tours offered.

Manon was very knowledgeable about Stonehenge and Windsor Castle! She entertained a lot of questions and was very helpful to people that had missed their other group and went out of our way to assist them & linked back up to the other group. Additionally, she had a very good pace and imparted a lot of knowledge. We had rain so she rearranged the day to ensure that it did not have a great impact on us. We would definitely recommend her and Ahmed who drove our bus and was top-notch as well.

We loved visiting Stonehenge and Windsor Castle! The tour guide Jess and bus driver Adrian were very knowledge and had great stories! The bus ride was smooth and we got back on time.
The tour guide does not walk with you into the Castle, but they do have an audio guide. Also, it is a long day and long bus ride, so something to keep in mind if you’re on a time crunch.

Avoid this operator. We were re-booked to an earlier time on the tour and given conflicting last minute information on when to arrive. Multiple chat messages from operator conflicted with the tour we were re-booked to which had a departure time of 8:30a but departed at 8:00a
Be advised that Viator is also throughly unhelpful in these situations when trips do not go according to plan and will 100% side with the your operator.
Such a well planned trip! Cameron is a fantastic guide: knowledgeable and entertaining. Patrick is a super driver. I highly recommend this!

Our tour to Stonehenge and Windsor was fabulous. Cameron, our guide, and Patrick, our driver, took excellent care of us and provided fabulous information on the areas.
Cameron was entertaining and Patrick was a safe driver.
I really enjoyed the speed of this tour. I felt we had a good amount of time in each location. Had we gone with the tour that had 3 stops, I feel we would have been rushed especially in Windsor.
Cameron had a lot of insider tips and suggestions on how to make the most of our time.

Terrible communication and signage at departure! We arrived to Gate 1 at Victoria station 15 minutes early for our tour and followed the Evan Evans sign "Please join the line for check in". There was no announcement for departure or last call for passengers, when we asked departure attendant Richard (?) we were told that our bus had just left!!! After repeated requests to catch up with original trip he booked us on a bus leaving 1 hour later. This tour was not what we had booked, there was no guide or information provided for the 2 hours trip, uncomfortable seats and no bathroom. We did meet up with our original tour at Stonehenge, Guide Angela was excellent and walked us directly to the shuttle then we rushed though in 40 minutes and had no time to see much at the site. The second part of our trip and tour to Windsor Castle was a completely different experience - live guide provided great information and the bus was good.
My suggestions:
-Should tell you that you need to check in with attendant when you arrive at gate in Victoria station
-Make announcement, last call for bus. Like they do in airport.
-Could announce missing passengers names from the manifest, seems like bus and attendant are checking them off as wristband are handled out.
We paid nearly $400 for 2 people for this tour and I feel that the value was substandard.
Great tour of Stonehenge and Windsor castle. Never felt rushed as had plenty of time at each location. Mel our guide was exceptional, very informative and entertaining. He definitely made our tour experience a day to remember.
