Highly Recommend!

This tour with our private driver JJ (Jason) was excellent! It was easy to find the tour company outside of the port and JJ immediately took us to our excursions. He took us to the Roatan sign, gas station for snacks, and all of our excursions. I loved that we could spend as much or as little time at each place and didn’t have to wait on anyone else. The rum and chocolate places were nice and informative. The animal sanctuary didn’t last long because one of the monkeys ALMOST attacked my 6 year old daughter so I wouldn’t recommend this place. However the ATV activity made up for it and was the highlight of our trip. Our tour lasted about 4 hours and I loved seeing different parts of the island and learning so much from JJ. I would highly recommend!

Instructions were clear...

Instructions were clear and our guide was wonderful. We enjoyed every part of the excursion. We were a little unclear on what was going on when we got dropped off at the smaller island’s beach , but we were waiting for our turn to go snorkeling I think. Snorkeling was good. It was sad to see the reef in bad shape and trash on the ocean floor, but there were still lots of interesting fish and creatures to see, and the water wasn’t very deep so we didn’t have to dive down to see everything.

We were visiting from MSC...

We were visiting from MSC cruise, didn’t want to do their shore excursion via the ship. Came across this excursion I found on TikTok and it was wonderful! Honduras is a busy port with cruise vendors coming at your throat, it’s highly irritating and annoying. The area is a little rough outside the cruise port. Once passed the port area, off to the resort, it’s beautiful. The resort was nice and clean. The location was great and we had a wonderful private driver, Kendrick!!!!! He gave us a guided tour on our way to the resort, pointed out great pic spots and souvenir shops. Food and drinks weren’t included with our day pass, but both food and drinks were great!!! The beach and pool area was included.

Great Day at Monkey and Sloth Sanctuary and West Bay!

Jose was absolutely awesome! We had such a great day, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. My dad had a mobility scooter, and Jose helped us figure everything out to make sure he was comfortable and able to enjoy the experience. He made sure our entire group was taken care of from start to finish and was always willing to help with anything we needed. His kindness, attentiveness, and outstanding service made our day that much better. We truly appreciate everything he did and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jose is a real asset, and we highly recommend him! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing, Personalized Private Tour of Roatán!

Our private tour in Roatán was absolutely wonderful and one of the highlights of our cruise. What made the experience so special was that it truly felt like our family’s tour, rather than a standard itinerary that we simply followed. Our guide, Cynthia, was fantastic! She was knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, and made it a point to customize the experience around our family. Throughout the day, she suggested additional places we could visit and added stops that weren’t originally included in our tour. She also made sure we stopped at the Roatán sign so we could get our family pictures. Those thoughtful touches made us feel like she genuinely wanted us to experience and enjoy as much of the island as possible. And speaking of pictures—Cynthia deserves extra credit for being our unofficial family photographer! 😂 She happily took as many pictures as we wanted, with all the different poses we could come up with, and never made us feel rushed. One of our favorite stops was the monkey, sloth, and bird sanctuary. Our guide there, Kelab, was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and made the experience both fun and educational. He shared so much information with us, including the fascinating story of Fiona, a green macaw, and Jack, a red macaw, and their unique offspring. As a huge fan of Friends, I especially loved discovering that two of the birds were named Ross and Rachel and one of the monkeys was named Marcel. That was such a fun and unexpected part of the experience! The rum and chocolate tastings were another nice touch and gave us something different to enjoy during the day. One of the biggest advantages for us was having a private tour for just our family. We weren’t being moved around with a large group or forced to stick to a rigid schedule. Cynthia was able to adjust the day, make recommendations based on what interested us, and give us a much more personal experience. From the sightseeing and spontaneous stops to the animals, tastings, photos, and Cynthia’s wonderful hospitality, we felt like we got to experience Roatán in a way that was tailored specifically to us. Thank you, Cynthia and Kelab, for helping make our first visit to Roatán so memorable. We left with beautiful pictures, great memories, and a real appreciation for the island. It was raining but we didn't want to cancel. So glad we didn't. Stanley was an amazing tour guide and very passionate about the island. He made sure we got to do everything we wanted to and even got us back to the ship early. He to every consideration to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. Loved the monkeys and sloths and other animals, chocolate and run factories and of course pictures at the rhoatan sign. Stanley is very knowledgeable about the history of the island and willingly shared it with is.

Exciting day around Roatan

Diana gave us a personal tour to West Bay and the animal encounter with Sloths, Monkeys, birds etc. She was very happy to take us around the island. She set us up with our snorkeling guide. Watched our personal belongings while snorkeling. Assisted us when Needed. She gave us a big hug when The trip was over, and before we tipped her. Ask for Diana if you take this tour. She was wonderful.

Loved it!

This was amazing! Just know, it's a bit of a maze to find them. Just go through all the vendors, to a street filled with a hundred tour guides. We finally met William who led us to Base Camp. Then John led our group to the first landing. There are 16 zip lines and 24 platforms, all with experienced guides. I suggest booking the earliest time as it gets hot. Afterward, you can tour the monkeys and the sloths. We were offered a van to take us to the ROATAN sign further up the coast, we paid $5 per person, (there were 6 of us) definitly worth the $5 because they also took us back to the ship.

Our tour guide was amazing! She was so knowledgeable about the area and answered all of our questions! She got us everywhere safely and managed our time well and made sure we were back to port in plenty of time. The excursions themselves were wonderful! We had a lot of time with all of the animals and learned so much about the native species. The private island was so beautiful! The beach was clean with crystal blue water, lots of marine life to see while snorkeling, and the drinks were 💯! We can’t wait to come back!

This was amazinggggg!! Please wear something you don’t mind getting dirty because the rust from the zip lines will drip into your clothes and stain them. The snorkeling was lovely, and we seen tonsss of fish. The animal experience was fun, and very intimate having a personal guide with us walking through.

Amazing Mother-Daughter Experience—Safe, Personal, and Unforgettable!

My teenage daughter and I had a wonderful experience on the Monkey, Sloth, and Drift Snorkel Tour in Roatán! It was just the two of us, and we felt completely safe and comfortable throughout the entire excursion. Meeting our guide just outside the cruise port was easy, and we had our own private driver. He was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our guide at the monkey and sloth sanctuary was amazing—welcoming, informative, and patient. He answered all our questions and made sure we each had plenty of time interacting with the animals. Our snorkeling guide was also wonderful. He explained everything clearly and helped ease any anxiety we had about snorkeling in the ocean, making us feel safe and confident. The entire experience was well organized, personal, and enjoyable from beginning to end. My daughter and I made incredible memories, and I would absolutely recommend this tour—especially to mothers traveling alone with their children or teenagers!
