Stunning and well organised

A brilliant way to see the best of the park. The first hike was honestly so beautiful and the rewarding view at the top was a highlight of my whole trip. The activity went well over 5 hours though, not sure if that’s because we had too much to fit in, or the group spent too long taking photos at each destination… but something to plan for in case you have something organised for the afternoon.

Iconic Rio experience

We had a great experience with Meilin, who was a knowledgeable, caring and thoughtful tour guide for our group. She had plenty of historical and cultural information to share with us. We were blessed to have a lovely clear morning at Christ the Redeemer so that we could see it (on some days it can be obscured by clouds!). There were plenty of crowds at both Christ and Sugarloaf mountain, but having chosen the included tickets made the experience smoother. Delightful views at both.

Fantastic day, and the right mix of activities. Great things to say about Gustavo, our tour guide. It was incredible how he jumped back-and-forth between Portuguese and English throughout the tour so that everyone could understand what he was saying. He is entertaining and a genuinely kind person. The lunch location was a bit crowded, and was buffet style. Loved this day in Rio de Janeiro and highly recommend it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful private tour with Frederico! Frederico was absolutely wonderful! He took me to so many incredible places throughout Rio and shared so much information about Brazil, the history, the culture, each place we visited, and even things we saw along the way. I learned so much from him throughout the entire day. What really stood out to me was how kind and patient he was. I was having some difficulty walking and was moving more slowly, and he never once made me feel rushed. He was incredibly attentive, helping me cross streets, holding my hand when I needed it, and helping me get on and off the vans and cable cars. I felt very safe and well cared for the entire time. His English was excellent, which made everything so easy, and he was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely kind. Even after the tour was over, he sent me suggestions for other places I might enjoy during the rest of my time in Rio. Frederico went above and beyond and made my day in Rio incredibly special. What can I say about this fantastic nine hour experience of visiting Christ The Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain & the Rio City Tour which included a trip to the famous Macarena Stadium (even though sightseeing was restricted to only the exterior of the Stadium though😊, it was still worth it), the magnificent Catedral Metropolitana de Sao Sebastiao, the noted Escadaria Selaron Steps & not forgetting the sumptuous buffet lunch we all had at a wonderful restaurant. AWESOME is the word to describe this tour. This incredible and memorable experience was made possible for my two children and I by this Company (Rio Carioca Tour), Katrin the hardworking, very very patient and marvelous Company’s Tour Guide & the lovely Tour Driver who drove us for so many hours to these places. Best Seats in the House

The show, especially the 2nd half was entertaining and musically educational about all of Brazil. First rate dancing and singing all in a fun way. Great visuals. And the food isn’t bad either especially if you factor in the # of folks being fed. Our aviator tickets were in the front row and centered. They cost less thru aviator than I would’ve paid via our tour group too. Excellent job aviator.

Clouds and rain? They're illegal in Rio. Aren't they...?

The helicopter base was an hour's taxi ride away, and I wasn't expecting that. I should've checked in advance but didn't...so fair warning everyone else! When I got there - just in time - I was asked if I wanted a cold drink or maybe a beer? I opted for the beer (I was on holiday after all and not driving the thing, so why not?). I also opted for the extra video they make of the journey, which is e-mailed to you about 5 days later. So given that I had paid for a VIP flight, and bought the extra video offer, I was a little surprised to also be charged for the beer! And so to the flight itself. Well, it's at that point that you realise that Rio is just like any city anywhere on the planet. It too is subject to the vagaries of the weather. Every day for the last six months, in my mind this one day, this one particular half-hour was bathed in glorious sunshine. But it could be so different. Too cloudy, too wet, too windy, too anything...And today, right now...was none of those things. It was as if I had placed a weather-order with the Redeemer him/her/itself. Rio and the weather working hand-in-hand to deliver my long-held weather expectation. Across that panoramic perfection rode one helicopter and two insignificant passengers who may have been thinking different things about their forthcoming trip, but not that they would soon be silently and reverentially acknowledging the imperial majesty of Nature and Humans to bring us, well...this. A planet we could exist on, the luck that would allow us to develop and live this long, and the vision that would allow one person to say, "I've got this crazy idea. What I want to do is put a statue of Christ - right there...", and the vision that would allow another person to say, "Eh...OK" And they did. Then my wife and I came along. We took some pics. Shot a video or two. Ipanema, Copacabana, Cristo. Minds so exstatically blown. Grateful to everyone for everything. So yeah, it was OK. We'd do it again.
