What are people saying about Playa del Carmen

Caesar salad & his croutons!
We were traveling as a family (3 sisters)- 2 of us first time in Mexico. Our experience with "Caesar salad", the bus driver "chicken" & the photographer "Cheese" on this tour was absolutely top notch. Caesar was very witty, his directions were clear, helpful and the tour was well organized. We were absolutely blown away by how many turtles there were and a mama & baby stingray as well. The cenote experience was also very unique. We didn't expect to see a nest of bats in a dark cave & the photo package although a bit pricey, was absolutely worth the cost. Our only critique is the empanada's were sub par. Still, would highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic, informative, and fun!!
Jar (our guide) and Luis (our driver) were FANTASTIC! They were kind, funny, and very informative. Jar was the highlight of the excursion, and made this whole experience worth it. She took her time, answered all our questions, and was so knowledgeable about sea life, the cenotes, and everything in between. The lunch provided at the cenote was great as well. Don’t get me wrong- it’s a long and tiring day!! But this company made us feel so comfortable. They did a great job of making sure we didn’t feel like tourists. Also, I was especially impressed because Jar made sure that the tour guide at the ruins spoke English, French, and German to accommodate everyone on the trip (we had people from Canada, France, Germany, and US!) I would highly recommend, especially Jar and Luis!!!

Great, no frills tour of Chichen Itza!
You’ll have about 2 hours at Chichen Itza - an hour with the guide, an hour on your own. Enough to visit the “main” temples - but not enough if you want to visit the full site. More than enough for us - it was HOT! You’ll also be in a van for about 2-2.5 hours each way since they pick up folks at other resorts. They do make bathroom stops. Lunch is a turkey and ham sandwich that’s not all that good; bring your own food if you don’t want that. Make sure to also check ticket prices; we were asked to pay $50 for our tickets but others on our tour were only asked to pay $35 since they booked through a different agency (through their hotel). Cancun Adventures was the company that actually ran the tour. Overall, recommend this if you just want to see Chichen Itza!

Amazing day!
Beautiful sights with an amazing guide, Jesus made sure we all felt safe and kept the day fun and exciting! No part of the day was wasted. Cesar was a great driver. The food was delicious, and the cenote was a magical experience for our group of 5 friends

The star of the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen isn’t only known for its white-sand beaches and tequila-fueled nightlife—it’s also the ideal starting point from which to tour the Yucatán Peninsula. Playa del Carmen tours take you to visit ancient Mayan ruins, swim at picturesque cenotes, and explore natural caves and underground rivers. Adventurous types can also drive an ATV or buggy along rainforest trails, saddle up for a horseback ride, and go ziplining. Or, if you prefer water-based excursions, set sail on a boat cruise, visit tropical islands, and spot sea turtles as you snorkel or scuba dive.
