A great food tour

What an enjoyable food tour. Our guide Antoine Guillaume was friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. He gave us a tour of the various historical sites of Bordeaux with stops for delicious Bordeaux food and wine. The food were delicious and substantial. Antoine even gave us tips on where to eat and what other places to see in Bordeaux and surrounding area. Over all this is an amazing introduction to Bordeaux and the food of the Bordeaux area . This is a must for first time visitor to Bordeaux.

Great experience…wish it was longer!

We did the four hour tour from Bordeaux to Saint Emilian with Laetitia and enjoyed it immensely! Wine tasting was at Bellevue… Absolutely beautiful and delicious! Laetitia was very very knowledgeable about the area and wine. She even recommended great places to go to eat and/or drink when we got back to Bordeaux. We only wish we had more time in Saint Emilian, it was just beautiful!

Our “Gran Crew” had the best day!

We had a fun-filled, FULL day with Roberto as we travelled to the left and right bank wine areas. The stop in St Emilion was the best of all— would have love to spend the entire day there. What a charming, amazing town. Roberto combined the history and wine discussion as we moved through the day. Our tour was on a Sunday, so many Chateaus were not open for us to visit, but Rustic Tours did a great job of curating tours that accommodated us on the weekend. We definitely plan to come back and focus on each of the areas in separate tours, as it was a long day. But SO fun and we had the best time what we called our “Grand Crew!” Thank you, Roberto!

Wonderful experience

We really enjoyed our day with Lea our guide for the full day wine tour and visit to St. Emilion. Lea kept us entertained and engaged on the way to and from the wineries. She was very knowledgeable about the wine industry and shared her knowledge with us in a fun and interesting manner. Along with the winery visits, Lea gave us a tour of St. Emilion and then we had free time to explore on our own. We really enjoyed our excursion and would recommend this to all.

Wine tour Bordeaux

What an amazing day we had. And along the drive Paolo enlightened us with history and knowledge of the grape growing and vineyards of Bordeaux. We had three tasting and visited two Chateaux’s. As it was harvest time we got to pick and taste a couple of different grapes. This was a highlight for me.

Lovely day

This was a lovely, full day. Our driver was very pleasant and gave us information as she drove without being tedious with details. We visited three wineries, ranging from a small family production on up to a large worldwide distributor. A simple picnic right beside the vines was so pleasant.

A St Emilion joy!

The tour to St Emilion was fantastic! The village is beautiful and definitely worth visiting in addition to the wineries. Sonia was a knowledgeable, interesting and personable host. She chose two quality, but contrasting wineries to visit. In my view the tour was perfect for people who enjoy and are interested in wines, but are not necessarily absolute wine buffs. 5 stars from us.

A day in wine country

This is a great tour if you have a full day to explore the Bordeaux wine region. We visited both the Saint Emilion and the Medoc region. An added bonus was a free tasting 2 white sparkling wines and a Rose before we got to our first Chateaux. In total we tasted 13 wines. Our lunch in the middle of the Vinyard under trees was delicious. Our guide Hugo was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of good information about the region.

Hugo was an exceptional...

Hugo was an exceptional guide. He draws from an impressive depth of knowledge not only about Bordeaux wines, but also the history of the entire region from antiquity to the Second World War. He was also incredibly generous with his time and answered every question we threw at him. The chateau visit was excellent, but Hugo elevated the entire experience, including the drive and our time walking through Saint-Émilion. He is one of the best guides we have had anywhere in Europe - I cannot recommend him highly enough.

We opted for a smaller tour size (there were 8 pax in our minibus) compared to larger coach sized groups. Very pleased we took the smaller more intimate option This allowed for much better conversation with our guide and wine estate hosts. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fluent in English, which was very useful. We had 2 kids with us and our guide was excellent in distracting them while the adults were in the vineyards or in the tasting room. Thank you, Gaspard! The visit to St Emillion was also fascinating, although very touristy, and a short visit during this busy time was more than adequate.

We just finished the Saint-Émilion wine tasting and tour hosted by Eloïse, and it was a fantastic experience. Eloïse was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and a joy to spend the day with. We brought our four-year-old daughter along, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that they had thoughtfully arranged for her to enjoy a grape juice tasting alongside the wine tasting. It was such a wonderful touch that made our entire family feel included. The guided walk through the beautiful town of Saint-Émilion was fascinating, filled with rich history, stunning architecture, and, of course, an appreciation for the region’s exceptional wines. Thank you, Eloïse, for sharing your passion and expertise. You made our visit to Saint-Émilion truly memorable, and this was one of the highlights of our time in Bordeaux.
