I've been traveling across Europe, experiencing different countries, cultures, and some truly incredible tours, but this Benagil Caves and Dolphins boat tour in Portugal was something special! From the breathtaking Algarve coastline to the magnificent rock formations, stunning sea caves, and beautiful ocean views, the entire experience was absolutely marvelous. There were moments when I simply had to look around and appreciate just how incredible this part of the world really is. What made this experience stand out was the adventure itself. Being out on the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by such extraordinary natural beauty, was unforgettable. It was the kind of experience that reminds you why traveling the world is so rewarding. I've taken quite a few tours on this European journey, and I can confidently say that this one ranks among my top three favorites of the entire trip! That is saying something, considering all the amazing places I've visited. If you're visiting the Algarve, I highly recommend making this experience part of your trip. The scenery is spectacular, the experience is memorable, and the beauty of Portugal's coastline is something pictures simply cannot fully capture. Five stars without hesitation! Great boat trip

We had a great time on this boat trip. There were only about a dozen of us in the boat. Very safe, you do not get wet at all. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and our boat captain navigated tight spaces with ease. Great way to see this beautiful landscape.

Breath taking views

Absolutely stunning views of the algarve caves and beaches. We upgraded to the wind for a more intimate experience. The sailboat has capacity for 18people and there were 2 families with a child each with us. This was a 20euro/person upgrade and it was well worth it. It also included snacks and beverages. Plus a choice of tasting of port wine (2), albufeira wine (3) or liquor (5). The boat also had 2 clean bathrooms which was great for a 3 hour trip. At the cave you are able to take a ride on a platoon boat into the cave. There is time for a swim but we opted out on since it felt quite cold. This tour was well worth it and our captain Rocky and hostess Marta were both very friendly and attentive. Hands down one of my favorite excursion we did in Portugal and would go again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a great time on our Benagil boat tour! The views were absolutely amazing, from the salty breeze and sparkling blue water rushing past us to the thrill of speeding across the open sea. We loved the mix of racing over the waves and slowing down to carefully explore the caves, where golden rock walls, cool shadows, and shafts of sunlight made everything feel magical. Our skipper was a true pro, making it all look effortless, while our guide brought so much energy and personality to the experience. He was knowledgeable, fun, and kept everyone engaged. What really stood out was how they took the time at the end to share some of their favorite local spots and recommendations for our time in Lagos. Such a fun and memorable experience with a fantastic crew. We would absolutely recommend it!

A great morning on the water

It was a fantastic day on the water with Alexei. There were paddlers of all skill levels and he was able to make the experience memorable for all. He provided some interesting history and perspective on all the different algars (caves with roof openings) we explored, including Benagil. There is no better way to visit these incredible spaces than with a small group in kayaks.

Absolutely brilliant boat trip, crew were lovely, skipper had a great sense of humour and very friendly. Really informative about the area and different parts we visited. Absolute highlight was seeing dolphins so many of them too it was amazing 🐬 the skipper kept going until we found them.

Standing in line

This was a good, short 1.5 hour trip for a good price! The departure point is immediately adjacent to the Norwegian tender location which worked out after finishing our walking tour and then easily and quickly booking this fast boat tour while sitting in the museum. There are several boats operated by this Atlantis company. Many lines qued up so standing and waiting outside Ok but not ideal. Our que started moving 10 minutes past the 1:30 pm departure time. I'm not sure why we didn't board on time or early since we were not waiting for anyone. We saw all the sights including Bengali caves. Low tide was at 4pm so we didn't have any problems getting into and through the various boating sights. Returnung back to the NCL tender was just over the fence adjacent to where the fast boats returned but it was a 10 minute walk to cirlcle around the fence to the passport contol building and then back to where we started on the other side of the fence. The last NCL tender was at 6pm so we did not have to stress about returning to the ship.

Excellent tour!

This is the cave tour you want! I can’t believe how many dolphins we saw! It had to be 30 or 40 of them jumping out of the water and they were so close to the boat. Really outstanding! The caves themselves are pretty standard to be honest, so I would be sure to get yourself a cave tour that has something other than just the caves. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we had an exceptionally clean and well operated boat.

Awesome tour.

We’ve had an amazing safari tour. Our guide Diaz was terrific. He was very knowledgeable about all things in and about Portugal. He had such a great way of explaining things. With a lot of humor, insight and enthousiasm. Furthermore, the sites were really beautiful and great to see. And sitting in the back of a safari jeep was a real fun experience. I would definitely recommend going on this tour.
