Pros: Overall, this was a beautiful trip. The landscape is stunning, and exploring in the caves is a really fun experience!
Good to know: It's primarily a kayaking experience, so be prepared for that. The guide gave an overview of how to kayak that was quick but thorough. Everyone is in a double kayak, so if you're a solo traveler, they'll pair you with someone. There are no facilities on the catamaran.
Cons: The trip would have been better with fewer kayaks/kayakers in our group. The caves are big, so we mostly fit, but it felt crowded with just our group at times. The last cave they took us in was especially small. They should not have tried to enter with our group. And when we were there, the waves stared coming in, and the guide should have had people exit immediately. Unfortunately, the waves got really rough, really fast and it got quite dangerous. Numerous boats tipped over, and some folks were left with some minor injuries. I'm only taking one star off for this because everyone came out okay enough, and the rest of the trip was good. I don't think this is a common experience, but it was legitimately scary and could have ended with worse injuries. So, just go and use your own judgement as well when it comes to going in the caves.

Early morning was great for less wind. Lots of activity with boats and other kayak tours but to be expected. Beautiful landscape. Caves were awesome. Our tour was great because they broke up our group into two so only six boats with each guide. Loved the explanations along the way. Bruno and Lues, the guides, and the other two boat crew members were friendly, funny, and helpful. You may want to bring a water bag with a lanyard because they do not supply them, but you can purchase one from them for €10 if needed.

Such a fun excursion! The crew was full of information and enthusiasm! We feel like we got multiple experiences for the price of one! We got the catamaran ride, the kayak experience and then a dip off the boat into the water if you wanted! Worth every penny!

We took a 9:15am tour which was perfect—sun out and water calm. EXCELLENT guides (4 of them). Were able to go into numerous caves with the kayaks and the boat ride to the kayak drop off area was pleasant. There were numerous other people on the trip which at first was a bummer, but everyone very nice and once we were in the water it didn’t much matter. A highlight of our trip and this company did a great job!

Highly recommend this tour! Water was a little chilly, but if you do the tour 1st thing in the morning there was not a lot of people. The caves were awesome! Our guide Ricardo (Adam) was amazing too!

AMAZING!! I was debating doing this only because I know kayaking in the open ocean is far less controlled than kayaking in a lake. A little fear. I'm so glad I did it. The views that I expected...were that and more. The guides/captains were friendly, and you get more than enough time on the water. The only downside is they dont allow any solo kayaks; so I was paired up. Loved it and would do it again.

Kayaking is not as easy as it looks, and the Atlantic is a bit tougher than a river, but if you are prepared to get wet this is a little adventure you will love. Leader kept an eye on everyone so even the most unskilled was always included. Once back on board some sturdier folk jumped into ocean for a fast refreshing dip, but I kept to the sun up top to dry off. Good time and good crew.

Terrible trip, there were to much waves and too much wind. we were almost fighting for our lifes. There were no secure onboard, felt like the guides didn’t know what they do. 0,5/10 I would NOT recommend

A pleasant boat ride out to the point, then we were paired off in double kayaks and a friendly guide took us around and through and past the cliffs, caves, tunnels, and beaches of the famous area. Our guide gave us some light information regarding the nature of the cliffs, the history of the area, and the best sunset views - and took our picture if we wanted. Back in the main boat there was time for swimming, a water slide, and even jumping off the top deck -- or just relaxing on the boat watching others. Pretty much exactly as described and absolutely worth the time and money!

We had an amazing time kayaking with our guides! Would recommended over and over! Don’t miss this experience! Our 7 year old was very nervous and refused to get on the kayaks and they let her hang out on the boat so the rest of us could still explore. They were so understanding and kept her entertained and made this experience so much fun for her as well so she didn’t feel like she was missing out. I can’t say enough good things! Jaime, Simão, André and Luís were our guides and they did a phenomenal job. They were very knowledgeable and we felt extremely safe the entire experience. They even gave us recommendations and tips for other things to do in Lagos during our trip.

Fun excursion from the marina to see the caves from a better viewpoint, entering the caves with a max of 6 kayaks. You will get wet from small waves. Have waterproof phone case (or tuck it in your life jacket). 2 people per kayak with an option to swim from the catamaran after kayaking. You don’t need to be good at paddling-the guide will teach you. This was a light to moderate activity.
