An Enjoyable Cooking Experience

It was fun from start to finish. Shopping for fresh vegetables at the market, going to the butcher shop and walking to massimo’s home which involved going down and back up a few flights of stairs. There were 16 of us which I would have preferred a much smaller group. Massimo is a great instructor with loads of information. For example what type of fish to buy and NOT buy based on appearance. We look forward to receiving an email from Massimo with the recipes.

Fantastic Taormina Sicilian Street Food Tour

Warning: Do not eat before you go on this tour! 😂 The food is plentiful, absolutely delicious and there is so much to try! We had a brilliant time sampling a wonderful variety of local street. Everything was delicious, and there was certainly no chance of going hungry. Our tour guide, Allegra, was so lovely, friendly and welcoming. She made the experience even more enjoyable and was a pleasure to spend time with. If you’re visiting Taormina and want to experience authentic Sicilian food in great company, I would highly recommend this tour. Come hungry and enjoy every bite! 🇮🇹🍕🍋

Authentic Sicilian cooking experience!

A perfectly special culinary experience on the water in beautiful Taormina! Chef Mimmo was fun, informative and so welcoming! Our group of eight had so much fun creating, cooking and eating the wonderful Sicilian dishes! It was a perfect authentic Italian experience. Highly recommend!

An absolute highlight—Alex is the best guide! Our Mt. Etna hiking experience far exceeded all of our expectations, and that is entirely thanks to our fantastic guide, Alex! He truly made the whole experience for us. His knowledge and passion for the volcano were completely contagious, and we learned so much throughout the hike. To top it all off, the wine tasting at the end was incredibly fun and absolutely delicious. If you are planning a trip to Etna, do yourself a favor and book this—hopefully with Alex!

Beware of Neri Etna

This was a fabulous tour and well worth the money spent. We visited three very different wineries, all of them beautiful. Our driver Bruno was the best! We ordered wine from all three wineries to be shipped home. We received our wine from two of the wineries very promptly; however, we have still not received our wine from Neri Etna. We have contacted them several times and they have promised to send it, but it has been over two months. Unfortunately, we paid them in cash so we have no credit card company to fall back on. So, although we definitely recommend this tour, beware of ordering any wine from Neri Etna. Viator should think twice about including this place on their tours.

You'll love this

A terrific blend for those wanting to know more about Etna, without climbing it. Allesandro is a font of knowledge and a delight to be with. Hos passion shines through. Loved the vineyard visit also. We were so lucky to be there when the folks were harvesting grapes by hand, and we saw the first part of the journey onto wine. A great local visit.

worth the trip for sure

We really enjoyed the Etna part. We did opt for the additional charge for the cable car and truck at the top. Well worth it. Very interesting and we got some exercise. Be sure to take a coat- it is cold at the top. If you don't have it there is a rental with really nice coats for 5 euro. They are clean and very nice. Taormina- is lovely but get a ticket online ahead of time for the theater if you are touring. other than that- shop shop shop. Which I am not into.

Perfect transfer experience!

Our transfer experience was wonderful! The driver was attentive to our flight and tracked it prior to our landing. He communicated with us as soon as we landed and shared a clear picture to mark the meeting spot. He ended up picking us up earlier than we requested because our flight was early, so we did not have to wait at the airport. Would certainly use again!

Great tour with Martino

I can't say enough about this tour. Martino, our tour guide, promptly arrived at our pick up point with water in the van. Driving in Sicily is really the wild west but Martino was continually asking if we were happy with his driving, which we were 100% of the time. He was very knowledgeable about Mt Etna and made several stops to show us special views and point out a buried village. He got us behind the scens at the winery with the owner. Martino was quick to pick up on our interests and pointed out a few details not on the itinerary. This was a great tour with am outstanding tour guide.

Martino made the experience!

I was a little concerned before the tour because the day-of ended up being quite hot and we had our 5-month old baby. Martino was our driver and he made it a 10/10 experience. He dropped us off in areas where we could minimize too much time in the direct heat and was very mindful of helping us feel comfortable and have what we needed. He really went above and beyond. Outside of that, the tour was great. Martino was a great driver, the car was clean and he gave us great information at each stop so we knew what to look for. He also was personable and enjoyable to spend the day with while we were driving. This is a great tour if you’re looking for a knowledgeable driver who will give you great information and then you do the actual exploring on your own and meet him back when you’re ready for the next stop. A great way to see these beautiful cities!!

We had Antonio as our guide and he was fantastic, from the beginning pick up to all the knowledge he had throughout the day. Gambino wines was a lovely wine tasting - very generous! And the beautiful lunch followed after was a perfect way to wrap up the day. If you are a wine fiend this is one to do!

Great time!

Had a wonderful time! With the help of Chef, his mamma and trusty sous chefs, we made 2 pasta dishes and 1 amazing fish dish. While pasta dough was rising we were treated to tomatoes and mozzarella. Everyone was able to contribute - crushing tomatoes, picking basil off the stem, sautéing veggies. It was very hot- but thy gave us lots of beverages to cool down. We shared a nice meal outside with our new friends.
