Massimo is a highly knowledgeable and wonderful chef. He walked our group to markets and educated us on all types of produce. His class was in beautiful Taromina overlooking the ocean. Take this class!

From our meeting point, we walked to a little market and sampled some of the fresh veggies we would be cooking with, then were driven in a van down to the Chef's place on the beach. This is a family run business and they were all so warm and welcoming! The cooking class was run seamlessly with excellent breaks and explanations throughout. We absolutely loved making the various pasta shapes! Also, the swordfish we made was one of the best things we had while in Sicily. Great group and just an exceptional experience!

This is a wonderful trip. It would be challenging for people with mobility issues as there are a number of hills to traverse. Our guide Diego had a degree in geology and volcanology so the trip was extra special as he could explain the eruptions and the feature of the lava flows on the mountain.

Fabulous Etna Wine Tour!

We had an incredible time on our Mount Etna winery tour! Our driver, Guiliano, was truly wonderful, sharing fun stories and myths about Mount Etna throughout the day. We started the day at La Gelsomina, where we toured the grape fields and sampled three wines with an olive oil and bread pairing. Next, we stopped for lunch at Antichivini Vini di Sicilia, where we got to meet the two winemaking brothers and had a delicious lunch which included antipasti, pasta alla norma, and of course, dolci. We were able to sample six different wines, including an almond wine and moscato. Finally, we ended the day at Neri for a three wine tasting on their beautiful property complete with local cheeses and meats. We did not leave hungry! We also were able to purchase bottles at each winery, but appreciated that there was no hard sell. Overall, we thought the tour was a highlight of our trip and cannot recommend it enough!

Our Etna Tour and Winery Lunch was hands-down one of the highlights of our entire trip to Sicily! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations—but the real star of the day was our guide, Martino. Martino was incredible—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about Sicily, Mount Etna, and the local culture. He didn’t just guide us…he brought the entire experience to life. Every stop felt thoughtful and personalized, and he made sure we were comfortable, entertained, and learning something new along the way. Exploring Mount Etna was surreal, and Martino’s insights made it even more fascinating. And then the winery…wow. The setting was stunning, the food was delicious, and the wine tasting was perfection. Fabulous trip!!! Grazie Martino!

Our driver Martino was simply the best. We were fortunate enough to only be two of us on our tour. Martino was so friendly. We exchanged stories and interesting facts, discussed movies that we all like, he even got his mother to give me her recipe for ricotta cheese! It was like we spent the day with a friend not just a tour guide!
