Great communication
A must see when in Paris. I have used viator several times in Italy, UK, and France and have been extremely pleased. Their communication is top notch. Guides knowledgeable and friendly. Although it was during a heat wave my family and I loved it. Highly recommend

Hands on history lesson.
It was a great day trip. Total time 12 hours. It was very humbling to see the location of such a massive battle. To step foot on Omaha, and Utah was awe inspiring. The story telling from Maja "Mia" made the day so much better. Her vast knowledge of the events leading up to the day as well as during the battle made it so much more enlightening. The lunch was also very good in a quaint little fisherman's village. Fish, chicken, or pizza are the meal options. The tour and shopping at the Utah Beach Museum was also very nice. The day ends with a trip to the cemetery. This really brought to light the vast amount of Soldiers lost for the expense of freedom. Highly recommend this tour as well as Maja Mia as your guide.

Completely worth it!
The Loire Valley region is so beautiful and offers many must see destinations. This trip included visits to 3 remarkable castles, lunch on our own in an excellent local restaurant, and a wine tasting which was very fun. Our guide, Julian, was the perfect host. He was the exact right amount of information and guidance and then time to explore on our own. He was an excellent driver and a great communicator. Julian is a lifelong Parisian and he is very knowledgeable. The castles are all very unique and the gardens and surrounding grounds were beautiful to explore. This was a great value and well worth the time. We especially enjoyed the countryside after a week in the city.

An interesting, informative and entertaining your
Our tour guide, Véronique, was pleasant, friendly, down-to-earth, and very knowledgeable. She explained not only the history of the development of Versailles, and the complicated lives of the aristocracy (shown in the many paintings), but also the ornate and sumptuous rooms (wow, the ceilings!) and their collections of artefacts. Our group of 20+ was quite large, but thanks to the tour guide audio system we were all able to follow her monologue easily, in spite of the noise. Versailles was absolutely heaving (hence the racket!); more so than usual apparently. It turns out that the day before our visit Versailles was closed to the public because Trump was there! What a waste of a day :-/ Very interesting tour though. Thank you Véronique for such an informative afternoon! After the tour, there's still the Versailles gardens to explore - and they're enormous! You could easily spend a day just walking round them and the surrounding parkland. Plan accordingly!

While it's tempting to spend your entire French vacation in Paris, the city is located within commuting distance of so many major highlights and landmarks that it's worth venturing beyond city limits. Your options for Paris day trips can be customized to fit your interests: History buffs can venture to the World War II landmarks of Normandy; architecture fans can visit the many grand châteaux surrounding the city; and wine lovers have some of the world's most celebrated vineyards within reach.
