Amazing Fun!
This was such a fun experience. Didn’t really know what we were getting ourselves in for but Eva and Dante were amazing guides! They were fun, invested in everyone having a great time, and very knowledgeable. Honestly can’t recommend this tour enough. Good food, good drinks, and great guides. Thank you Eva and Dante!!

An exceptional day that will live long in the memory.
This is a very well organised excursion and certainly worth the 4.30am hotel pickup. After the obligatory weigh-in at the aerodrome, we were given teas and coffees as we stood on the building terrace to witness the still dark, fresh morning air come alive as balloons began inflating in all directions. As the sun rose, these colourful delights lifted verically, righting their baskets and pulling at their fastenings. Excitement growing, we were guided to our balloon where pictures were taken and we climbed into the basket. Our pilot, Antonio, lifted us gracefully into the air and we joined the countless other balloons drifting through the light breeze....and away from the temples of Teotihuacán! Obviously, this trip is entirely wind dependent and i think you would be quite lucky to drift directly over the site. That said, we enjoyed great views of the temple of the sun from a respectable distance. All too soon the pilot was looking for a landing spot and kept us informed of his decison making all along and answering all our questions. An attempt to put down in a fresh crop field was aborted in favour of the crops which led to a special moment as we glided mere metres over the field below before rising up once again to a new and less disruptive landing in a disused patch of land where our recovery team was waiting. We touched down smoothly, were treated to a glass of red sparkling as we toasted the pioneers of balloon adventure. Breakfast was in a cave, which was OK and catered for us vegans. Then a visit to an obsidien outlet, before entry to the amazing Teotihuacán and a guided tour around this immense and highly impressive site. The journey back into CDMX was long due to traffic but this gave us time to view our amazing photos and videos and allow for the varied experiences of the day to settle in. We arrived back at the Angel of Independence around 4pm, exhaused but extremely happy with the day and all the staff and guides of Aerstat.

Helpful tips
Eduardo, our tour guide was awesome. Genuinely friendly, very knowledgeable and funny. Driver was also happy and friendly. Standouts were the zip line and caves. Zipline was fast but not too fast. So fun...and for only 300 pesos. Do it!!! The waterfalls and caves were beautiful....EVERYTHING was beautiful. My 20 and 21 yr old kids declared it as the best excursion/experience for our Mexico City vacation. Lunch we paid for but Eduardo ordered and got for us. We picnicked by the river. He recommended the stuffed cactus. It was yummy and something different. Tips: if you don't have a swimsuit, they stop at a place and you can buy one (for a reasonable price) Also get/bring water shoes. Cons: breakfast buffet was mid. Fresh fruits were good. Shuttle ride was challenging. Meaning the seats are uncomfortable and ride is bumpy. You can bring extra stuff you think you need cause you can leave it in the shuttle.

Our tour guide, Patto,...
Our tour guide, Patto, was amazing and truly made our day special. She brought the history to life through fascinating stories and engaging storytelling, making the entire experience so enjoyable and memorable. Our driver, Jesus, was also excellent - very professional, careful, and reliable, getting us safely and smoothly from one place to another. We couldn’t have asked for a better team!
