See San José by bike!
We had a great time on our tour, there was a protest march on at the time and Jorge took care to alter our route so that we did not get mixed up in it! We had some really tasty food and learned about coffee in a very classy coffee restaurant where we got to drink eome special coffee. Jorge was extremely knowledgeable about the history of San Jose and Costa Rica. Highly recommended tour!

Delicious food, drink and fun company
Fantastic experience on this local food tour with Josue! He brought us to a variety of local restaurants and bars that had amazing food and drink. We enjoyed the walk along the beach to help our stomachs digest in between stops. It’s a well laid out tour! Highly recommend this!

Great tour for kids and adults alike!
We looked at several tours of coffee and/or chocolate farms around La Fortuna and I’m so happy we chose Eden Chocolate Farm. They are a small organic chocolate farm and the tour was great. Nelson was our guide and he was very informative, answering all of the adult questions while still keeping the kids engaged and learning. He did our tour in Spanish, but also spoke English. The tour was super interactive for kids, they got to taste everything from the raw seeds to the finished chocolate. They got to ride the bike that grinds the beans, try grinding by hand like the Olmec and made their own chocolates, adding different spices and toppings and sampling each. We learned about the history of the fruit and got to make and try an indigenous chocolate drink. All in all it was a great tour, the grounds are beautiful with a nice restaurant overlooking a river. The lunch was also very good, served by a very courteous staff! We all loved it!

Entertainment and information
There is not much actual food prep but it was fun what there was. Oscar toured us around the market and the downtown, he uses a small speaker to project his voice, he's highly entertaining and full of information. The food part was wonderful. Overall great entertainment.

Cocoa, Comedy, and Great Luck
It was an absolutely lovely time and our guide was sarcastic and funny, he made the experience better. It’s funny because I was actually going to go with a different chocolate tour that was more intimate but because of logistics decided on this one, lo and behold we only had 11 people in our tour! Worked out perfectly and I booked the 1 P.M slot on a Wednesday for anyone wondering.

Yummy way to start the day!
This tour was right across the street from our airbnb so we did it to start one of our mornings. It was actually pretty interesting! The chocolate tasting was my favorite part. I hate coffee but I decided trying their coffee was something I needed to do. I’m not going to Italy and not trying pasta, ya know? For being black coffee, it was actually not bad! If you need a short tour to fill some time, don’t skip this! Sergio was funny and knowledgable!

Awesome Experience!
Matty was an excellent guide. He took us to 4 different restaurants and all the food was amazing. Each dish was very unique and well presented. The portions were huge and we were stuffed by the end of the tour. Matty told us much about the history of Jaco and pointed out his favorite places to eat and shop. He also was a wealth of information about activities in the area and fun things to do. Its a great activity and you will enjoy.

Awesome tastes of Costa Rica, , , literally
It was fantastic. Julio is a wonderful guy and guide, he provides introductions to the specialty locations' guides (Anna at coffee and cacao your; Jessie at Sloth Reserve), who were as wonderful and informative. Saw and learned a great deal and appreciated every moment, provided lunch was awesome as well!!
¡Thanks to Julio!

As someone who isn’t much...
As someone who isn’t much of a fan of chocolate or coffee I still loved the knowledge gained from this tour. We even got to make our own chocolate and add what ingredients we wanted which was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of coffee and chocolate to taste and so cool to learn about the whole process and how things are different in Costa Rica

Fun food experience
This is a hands on activity. You'll get to help prepare all elements of the meal. The ingredients are fresh and local. The dishes are traditional Costa Rican foods. We had a great time. Our instructor, Jenny, explained everything clearly and was very engaging.

A Must-Do in San Jose—Fun, Delicious & Great for Picky Eaters!
This tour was such a highlight of our trip! Not only was it incredibly fun, but it was also packed with fascinating insights about San Jose’s culture and cuisine. Our guide was amazing—he went above and beyond to tailor the experience for us, especially with my picky eaters. Thanks to their patience and encouragement, my kids actually tried everything (and both found things that the like—a huge win!).
The information we learned was so valuable, and it really set the tone for the rest of our visit. If you’re coming to San Jose, do this tour early in your trip—you won’t regret it. I absolutely loved every minute and would do it again in a heartbeat!
