What are people saying about Versailles

The palace and gardens...
The palace and gardens are fantastic. Be prepared for a lot of walking. If you want reduce steps you can buy tickets for a train or rent a golf cart. Next time I will just walk in the closer garden area. You don’t need to take the train to the furthest point unless you want to rent a rowboat or dine. Emmanuel was a very informed guide and very understandable. The company and Emmanuel worked with us because we missed the train. Road closures. Allowed us to hook up at Versailles and rejoin the group. Highly recommend this company and Emmanuel to see this most spectacular site.

Versailles with Valerie!
Viator partners with Get Your Guide to conduct this tour. We did the half-day at Versailles with a palace tour and a self-guided garden tour. Our guide for the palace tour was Valerie and she was absolutely wonderful! She was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and very fun. We really enjoyed her humor and learned so much at the same time.

I like the way this tour...
I like the way this tour focused on Versailles. The hotel pick up & drop off was extremely convenient, wish more tours did that. Would recommend this tour for those splitting time amongst many sightseeing spots. If you are absolutely fascinated with Versailles, might want to tackle this on your own and be there all day.

Stephanie Best Guide
What a wonderful experience. It was very interesting and historical and could have been very dry but Stephanie added so many inside stories about the royalty that lived there she had us raptured. Also laughing, she is very funny as well. Our cousins had been before but said this was worth paying again just to have Stephanie as our guide. So we all throughly enjoyed the experience.

Just outside of Paris, Versailles’ claim to fame is its 17th-century Palace of Versailles, the over-the-top gilded residence of Louis XIV. Tours of this UNESCO World Heritage Site often depart from Paris and include transportation, but you can also opt to meet your guide right in town and head off to explore together. The most popular Versailles tours involve exploring the palace and its opulent gardens on foot, but you can also opt for a tour that allows you to zip around in a golf cart instead.
