Nice way to enjoy Versailles

Our guide, Julian, did a fine job of guiding us to and through Versailles. We took a quick train from Paris and started the tour on the large grounds. There are lots of uneven cobblestones as you approach the palace, so sturdy shoes are a must! He swiftly guided us from room to room, with know knowledgeable narrative that made the trip enjoyable. Afterwords, we had time on our own to stroll through the grounds and gardens. Nice way to spend a day. It’s worth it to book the smaller private tours like this, as you bypass all the long lines to go straight in!

Opulence at its finest

We loved Florence who greeted us at Get Your Guide and took us on a 40-min bus ride to Versailles, a beautiful town. Once at the Palace we met up with another guide, whose name I regretfully have forgotten. She was lovely and extremely informative in our history lesson of the day. Versailles walks you through the opulence of French history from the 16th to 19th century. A very nice day indeed

The Palace of Versailles is huge -- lots of walking and stairs. Our guide was very knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed sharing the history of the palace as well as lesser-known stories with us. Achille is an amazing guide. He is just like a walking, talking (and entertaining) French history book. He has a gift for bringing history to life and this in turn makes the palace even more special. Great tour with Anne-Sophie!

Our guide, Anne-Sophie was fantastic! The meeting point is easy to find. The Get Your Guide Office is right across the street from the train station (Versailles Rive Gauche). The office is to the right of McDonalds. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff there as well. Anne-Sophie made French history come alive as she explained different points of interest in each room. She navigated the crowds flawlessly and provided headphones so we could all hear well. She answered all of our questions and even encouraged them. We freely explored the gardens and Trionons after (as we booked the garden ticket that included them). It’s a very vast estate so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. I had about 20,000 steps that day and that’s with using the “petit train”that goes between the palace and the Trionons. Thank you for a great tour, Anne-Sophie!

Dave's Awesome Hidden Gems and Versailles Castle Tour

This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Paris! Dave was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, hilarious and genuinely kind. We were able to see so much more of the Castle grounds and hidden gems on bicycle as well as enjoy the beautiful weather. The Castle itself was amazing, but we actually liked seeing Marie Antoinette's cottages and private spaces even more. This tour was awesome. We highly recommend it!

A wonderful day with this guided tour of Versailles

This was one of the best tours we taken in France. Our guide, Alouis was fantastic because he was knowlegable and caring. We ran late and communicated with him the entire time to meet up when he did arrive. Paris traffic was atrocious. Our guide was patient and kind and made the history part of this guided tour interesting and fun. Would highly recommend this tour group, and Alouis, if available. to everyone wanting to experience an authentic historical adventure.

Bo was an excellent guide on!

Bo was an excellent guide. The tour in the palace was a little over an hour. He had access to the gardens too and Trianon. We could have spent the entire day here! The Trianon is a 40 minute walk from the palace to give you a reference of the size of this property! Wear your most comfortable walking shoes! The entrance is cobble stone and not even.

Fascinating experience! Highly recommend--

I have mobility problems, so we splurged on a private tour. It was well worth it -- our guide was so knowledgeable and so enthusiastic. We would have missed so much if we had gone on our own. (Also, because the elevator is in what was the royal family's private area, we got to see what one of their personal rooms looked like.)
