Nice way to enjoy Versailles
Our guide, Julian, did a fine job of guiding us to and through Versailles. We took a quick train from Paris and started the tour on the large grounds. There are lots of uneven cobblestones as you approach the palace, so sturdy shoes are a must! He swiftly guided us from room to room, with know knowledgeable narrative that made the trip enjoyable. Afterwords, we had time on our own to stroll through the grounds and gardens. Nice way to spend a day. It’s worth it to book the smaller private tours like this, as you bypass all the long lines to go straight in!

Phenomenal experience
I traveled with my adult daughter and it was our first trip to Paris. We had a wonderful guide - knowledgeable, engaging, and highly entertaining. Expertly navigating the lines and the crowds, she found the best spots to congregate and explain the intricacies of each area explored with titillating stories and extra visuals. I highly recommend the tour!

Opulence at its finest
We loved Florence who greeted us at Get Your Guide and took us on a 40-min bus ride to Versailles, a beautiful town. Once at the Palace we met up with another guide, whose name I regretfully have forgotten. She was lovely and extremely informative in our history lesson of the day. Versailles walks you through the opulence of French history from the 16th to 19th century. A very nice day indeed

Guided Tour of Versailles is worthwhile
The Palace of Versailles is huge -- lots of walking and stairs. Our guide was very knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed sharing the history of the palace as well as lesser-known stories with us. She kept us moving through the various rooms, pointing out the important aspects of each. A very enjoyable tour -- highly recommended.

Just outside of Paris, Versailles’ claim to fame is its 17th-century Palace of Versailles, the over-the-top gilded residence of Louis XIV. Tours of this UNESCO World Heritage Site often depart from Paris and include transportation, but you can also opt to meet your guide right in town and head off to explore together. The most popular Versailles tours involve exploring the palace and its opulent gardens on foot, but you can also opt for a tour that allows you to zip around in a golf cart instead.
