We had a wonderful day exploring Taormina and Castelmola on our private excursion from Messina! Our guide, Kim, made the drive along the beautiful coastline especially enjoyable with her local knowledge and interesting insights along the way. She made our trip so enjoyable! Both towns were beautiful to explore on foot, with charming streets, great shopping, and plenty of opportunities to take in the scenery. Kim also recommended a fantastic restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal and wine. We started the day with a fun stop for cannoli and ended it with gelato, the perfect sweet treats to round out a memorable excursion! We thoroughly enjoyed the day and would highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Messina.

Great Messina excursion.

Very good excursion. Does require a lot of walking. We have some mobility issues and are private tour guide was very helpful. Our guide Isabella and driver Rosario were great. Godfather Church, Naughty Bar and the European Best Clocktower were special.

Great walking tour.

Claudio was an excellent guide. We were very pleasantly surprised by how beautiful Messina is. This was our third cruise to Messina but the other times we went straight to Taormina. We didn’t realize Messina is a town worth visiting. Overall it was a very enjoyable day.

Just do it!

Our driver Marco was a gem! He was not only a wealth of information he was fun and made sure we saw and experienced everything we wanted to see. So glad we took his recommendation and went to the north side of Mt Etna as we felt like we had it all to ourselves. Lunch at the winery was magical. Ms Rosa’s shop you don’t want to miss either.

Excellent Tour

So glad we booked this excursion our Italian tour guide was hilarious gave good information about the area then dropped us off in the beautiful town of Taromina before all the big buses came from the cruise ships. The van was very comfortable and we only had 15 people in our group got back to the ship a few hours before the crowds.

Beautiful excursion in Sicily

This tour was great. We realized that tour groups with smaller vans can go all the way to the top at Castelmola but the big tour buses (those arranged by the cruise) cannot. Those people had to climb up the hill and were not happy. After about an hour drive to Castelmola we had time to explore the ruins and cute town. We then went to Taormina where the guide led us from gate to gate through the town. I had paid for a ticket to the amphitheater so the guide took us there while the others explored on their own. It was worth it! Then there was plenty of time to eat on our own, shop, and explore before it was time to leave. The guide was super sweet and knowledgeable and gave us a local cookie to sample on the bus. We got back to port well before ship departure.

A little bit of everything and more!

If you want to see a little bit everything, this is the tour for you. It was so good! Salvatore our driver was so careful and prompt and informative as well and Olegsandra, or guide was so informative and easy going, we had so much fun with them. It was a just what we wanted to see everything and have time for Taormina as well. Would highly recommend this tour, there are several surprises in store they have planned as well, I won't spoil the fun, but it was a perfect day.

Greta day off the cruise ship

The perfect excursion from a cruise ship. Easy to book and easy to connect with tour guide. We had an air conditioned van and our group was small which I liked. Cristiano our tour guide was great! He delighted us with the rich history of the area and made sure we enjoyed all the key sights to see! Rally enjoyed the day and would definitely recommend if you want an efficient and enjoyable tour.

An Amazing Day in Sicily

Excellent tour guide in Catania. Sicily, Italy. I may mot spell it correctly . Cheers to Carrillo. He gave excellent instructions where to meet us by the cruise port. We saw everything and even did some shopping. Beautiful historic sites and architecture. Castelmola was picturesque. Our tour included visiting a family owned cannoli shop to watch them make the delicious treats . We each enjoyed a cannoli. Our day ended with tasting arancini and almond wine from the region. His English was excellent and his car was clean and cool. We invited him to come visit us in Texas and we would take him to a Texan livestock show and rodeo in Houston . It was an amazing day.

We had a driver and a translator go along. Driver parked in areas alliowed and the translator toured us around wherever we wanted to go. She was very personable and positive. She changed the itinerary to accommodate what we wanted to do all day. Customer service was top-notch and they were very pleasant with a beautiful van that took us all over the area. We went to Casteloma and it was beautiful with a stop for cannoli and panoramic views. Then we toured the theatre in Taormina , shopped and had a good Italian meal. I don’t do too many reviews unless it is a tour worth booking for others to enjoy! Don’t think twice just book it!
