Top France Cooking Classes

We had a 10 day trip and this was our favorite tour by far! We were at Miss Manon in Paris and Morad was our guide. WE LOVED THIS CLASS. Cannot recommend enough!! We were served a drink and plate of goodies, then taken through the bakery. Morad showed us everything and was incredibly entertaining, knowledgeable, funny and friendly. I definitely thought we'd be actually baking, but this was more of a tour and light baking experience. We were handed completed dough to make our food, but I still felt like I learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Absolutely cannot recommend this enough!

This cooking class, being longer than other 2-hour experiences, requires a time commitment. But for us, it was great. We went to the market and learned about how the local butcher is different than what we are used to. We also spent a good amount of time with the cheese monger booth, sampling different cheeses. Then we started preparing our meal with people volunteering for cutting vegetables, peeling and boiling the pears, preparing the meat, peeling and slicing potatoes, etc. The meat prep in particular was very enlightening to learn how to separate and remove the silver layer without losing a lot of meat. Plus, we had never heard of beef cheeks before. Certain things the chef did, such as preparing the ice cream. The beef was cooked in a stove-top pressure cooker. He was very knowledgeable and easy to understand as well as welcoming questions. Then all 12 of us plus the chef sat down at one big table to enjoy our meal. Definitely a great memory with a lot of learnings we will use in the future. It was a little pricey, but we would do it again in a heartbeat.

This was amazing. Regis, the baker, was well prepared, gave great explanations and tips. He was very patient and knowledgeable. There was no down time or just watching him do things; we did everything from rolling the dough to creating our croissants. I have been to other experiences where each person only gets to do a small part. In this we walked away with 4 croissants and 4 pan du chocolate that we each made entirely ourselves. My 13 year old loved it! And I, as an experienced baker, learned some tricks to enhance my skills. I cannot be more enthusiastic about this experience. Wonderful.
