Fascinating French Chateaux in context of History, Art and Politics

This is a full day seeing Chenonceau and Chambord chateaux, with just under 2 hours in Amboise where you can visit the chateau there, have lunch and/or shop. Our guide Geraldine gave us excellent tours in the two chateaux, leveraging her history degree and interest in the renaissance period, along with being an insider, having grown up in one of the chateau towns. Although it would seem like 9 hours is a lot of time, the day flew by leaving us wanting more! We learned a lot about the progression of royals in France, and important historical moments in which the chateaux played parts. This tour helped us place the chateaux in the context of history, art and politics.

This experience was seamless and extremely professional from start (reserving) to finish! We have never done this before and it was an exciting and most enjoyable birthday experience! This group of professionals is the way to do this experience! The excellent communication was extremely appreciated and we felt 100% safe at all times. Our pilot was very careful and transparent about the weather conditions and monitored that and the take off location very closely. Educational and fun!

Our tasting host was truly wonderful! The cave(s) are amazing. Walking through the passages and looking at the stored wines was impressive. The scent identification stations were very informative. The wines we tasted were identified (by our host) largely by sight and smell, just amazing… from the Loire region, of course! After the tasting, a walk through the village is a must!

Lovely Day Among The Vines

Lovely afternoon spent among the beauty of this chateau vineyard. The proprietor gave us a great tour of the winery with interesting facts of his family’s long history on the property. You can really see how lovingly involved the family is from planting to bottling. The wine and picnic were divine - delicious food and a fantastic setting hidden among the garden! A lovely afternoon learning about wines of the Loire Valley.

Laurent was a fantastic guide, sharing his deep knowledge of the wines of the region. We visited a vineyard and learned about appellations and the specific terroir, picking and pruning methods of the plot. The first winery we visited was a small local winemaking family with a lovely range of wines. In contrast, our second tasting was at a cooperative where we tasted 5 different wines. Laurent was very generous in sharing information and special thanks for the delicious cheeses and saucisson he selected to accompany our tastings.

Worth it all, if you love vouvray and Chenin blanc!!!

This vouvray wine tour was just absolutely perfect! Lorenzo was an amazing tour guide, loved how we went to three different wineries/ makers. Tried so many different types of sparkling and still white wines and even some reds. I did have a blast and learned so much about wines and how they are produced and shipped right under the same roof! I would highly recommend this tour. Some things I would recommend is the pick up spot, maybe have a sign or logo where we know who we are going with. Besides that the tour was just perfect.

Great wine tasting tour!

Our tour guide Dimitri was great!!! We visited 2 different wineries, toured their wine caves and production processes in early September during the harvest and crush. After touring the production processes at both wineries, we tasted all of their wines which were absolutely delicious. I am now only a French wine drinker!!!! We loaded into Dimitri's van at the Tours tourist office around 2:30 and didn't return until 6:30 p.m.!!!! He also took us out into vineyards on farm dirt roads and to educate us on local growing and harvesting practices and local history all of which was not only above and beyond the description of the tour, but fascinating!!!!

Balloon Ride over Liore Valley

Our hot air balloon ride was nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, the staff made the entire experience smooth, enjoyable, and safe. They were welcoming, well-organized, and incredibly informative—taking the time to explain the process, safety precautions, and what to expect during the flight. Our pilot was clearly very experienced and well-trained, which made all the difference. From lift-off to landing, everything felt calm and controlled. We never once felt uneasy—in fact, the ride was so peaceful it was easy to forget how high up we were! Floating silently over the landscape while the sun lit up the horizon was a magical experience. The views were breathtaking and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and awe-inspiring.
