A great half day tour

Thank you to Molly for a wonderful tour! It was a pleasant drive out to Thousand Island Lake. We had lots of time to take in the beautiful views from different vantage points. From there we continued on to Pinglin where we had a lovely tasting of 3 local teas at Mr Huang’s tea shop. Then we finished at the Pinglin Tea Museum, which gives lots of interesting facts about the rituals of tea. This is a great way to spend an afternoon outside the city and especially so if you enjoy tea!

Our guide Garen Chan was truly outstanding! We were impressed with her knowledge and caring attitude. She took great care to ensure our comfort and safety - as I walk with a cane. She put together an itinerary that took us through traditional as well as modern sites. We loved how she passionately shared the history and culture at each location. We had the flexibility to make adjustments throughout our tour. Should we return to Taipei in the future, we would love to experience another food tour with her.

Amazing Experience!

Our tour guide, Steven was great! He checked in the day prior, was on time the next day. Safe driver and went at our pace. Every stop was truly special. We visited during the Autumn New Moon festival so every place was PACKED. But we made the most of it. The last city (Jiufren), although a bit strenuous was worth all the stairs. The sunset view is breathtaking.

A fun way to experience the beauty of Taiwan!

The trip was great! We were picked up from our hotel and met up with the rest of the group on Monday morning. There were about 28 people in our group and our guide Ciao and driver Eason did a fantastic job of showing us around the entire island and navigating winding and mountainous roads. It's a great opportunity to see different regions of Taiwan beyond Taipei. There are some days that involve walking uphill but there are always alternative options. The lodging is great. Recommend bringing some cash but most hotels and convenience stores have ATMs.

Pauline was a great tour...

Pauline was a great tour guide. I was impressed as she did everything in English, Mandarin, and Japanese throughout the day. This is a long day, Pauline gives you history at each stop, and more importantly calls out which food vendors to try and which ones to skip. Great tour

This was a private tour, actually I was the only one in the tour. Caleb was my tour guide and he was awesome. Very knowledgeable about sites, history and everything in-between. Taroko gorge is amazing and we visited as much as was possible given the construction repairs after the earthquake (about 3 years ago). I highly recommend it!
