All Shanghai Tours & Excursions in 2026

We spent an enjoyable day with our tour guide Summer in Linhai and the southern Great Wall, which we learned was built before the northern Great Wall (which makes it the original!) Everything was on schedule and well-timed with transportation and the pace of the tour. Summer took us to lunch and ordered food from the region, which was very authentic. We were traveling with someone who had mobility issues and Summer was very sensitive to that since it appears there is not a lot of accessibility for those who are disabled in China. Could not have done this trip on our own.

A trip to a very old village based around canals, bridges and farming. See the original houses that are now mostly shops and restaurants as well as a tranquil old private garden. Our guide Kalvin was both informative and entertaining as he took us back into the past to imagine what life was like all those years ago. Unfortunately it was too windy for us to do the canal ride but we got more time to look around the village and buy some authentic hand made souvenirs of our trip. Lunch in the local restaurant was based around the old time fishing and farming of the village and was delicious, especially the local freshwater fish.

We had a perfect evening. Kalvin was the nicest person and shared so much interesting information. Everything was well organised and on time. The company kindly accommodated our request to do an earlier dinner before the cruise since we had kids. The dinner was delicious and something we would have never found or experienced on our own. We will definitely request Kalvin for any future tours in and around Shanghai. He is the most reliable and trustworthy. We are so happy to have found a wonderful tour guide, Kalvin’

Lotus was a fantastic guide. She was very knowledgeable and spoke great english. She was helpful and made sure that the food was safe for me to eat as I have a severe tree nut allergy. She made the tour educational and fun. My partner and I enjoyed all the food stops. I highly recommend Lotus and this tour.

We had a wonderful tour in Huangzhou and can highly recommend it! Our guide Queen was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole day very enjoyable. We had a lovely boat ride on the lake, visited a beautiful tea village with stunning views, enjoyed a delicious lunch with the famous Beggar’s Chicken, and explored amazing Buddha temples full of history and culture. The transfer was excellent as well — very comfortable car, always on time, and thanks to the great organization we could see much more in one day. Truly a fantastic experience!

If you’re visiting Shanghai and only do one thing, make it this evening tour with Tom. What an experience! We spent the night cruising along the Huangpu River with the stunning Pudong skyline lit up before us — absolutely breathtaking. Tom then guided us through the atmospheric lanes of Old Shanghai and the beautiful French Concession, bringing both neighbourhoods to life with stories and insights we simply wouldn’t have found in any guidebook. Tom is everything you want in a guide: incredibly knowledgeable, wonderfully patient, and genuinely friendly. His English is excellent, making communication completely effortless throughout the evening. He also took us to some fantastic spots to pick up a few local treasures to bring home — and crucially, he knew exactly where to go for the best prices. No tourist traps here! Shanghai truly is a different city by night, and Tom knows how to show it off at its very best. We came away with memories, a few great souvenirs, and a deep appreciation for this remarkable city. This tour was simply great. My mom had trouble walking at the time so we did it with a wheelchair. Lea was our guide and she made it work — she adjusted the pace and route so my mom was comfortable. She knew where to skip crowds and where we could rest. She led us through shortcuts and vista points that you’d normally won’t find yourself. Solid tour, great guide. Would highly recommend!
