Wonderful tour

Definitely book the full experience. We booked just the travel and ended up joining in on all the other activities. The guide was incredible- providing the group with a running history lesson spanning the changes in Ephesus over the many empires. The walk through the ruins in Ephesus was long so wear comfortable walking shoes. The ground was not always even so use caution if you have balance issues. Our tour guide timed our arrivals into the attractions so perfectly that we had little to no wait times to see the highlights of the tour. Lunch was delicious and the other couples on our tour were delightful. You will love this tour!

Ephesus tour with lunch: first rate!

There is lots of rough, uneven ground. The marble (and other rocks) are slippery, even when dry. Gigi was an incredible tour guide- very, very knowledgeable, personable, & flexible to your needs - I don't think I have ever had a better tour guide! I would highly recommend asking for her. The lunch on the farm, with all fresh food, was included & was delicious!

Really good value for money. Zayna was an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable about Ephesus. She answered all of our questions and let us explore the site at our own pace. We had a wonderful tour of the ancient ruins of Ephesus and the Terrace Houses! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job bringing the history of this incredible site to life. The explanations were informative, fascinating, and easy to follow, making the ancient city feel so much more meaningful. The Terrace Houses were especially impressive, and our guide helped us appreciate their history and significance. He was engaging, personable, and kept our group interested throughout the tour. This was a highlight of our trip to Turkey, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ephesus!

Nice tour of Ephesus

Enjoyed our tour of Ephesus and Mary's house. Keep in mind you will need to carry cash for the entry to Ephesus. We assumed that we could pay with our credit card at the gate, but was told we had to reimburse the tour guide in cash. That fact is not listed in Viator description, just an FYI. The gate does take CC and there wasnt a line, so it is confusing.

Ephesus tour

We had a wonderful tour of Ephesus. Our tour guide provided us with a lot of history and facts…which we appreciated. We ended our day at a beautiful lunch and tour of a rug manufacturer. A bit too much pressure on buying a rug…but otherwise a perfect day. Ephesus has a lot to offer and a tour guide is definitely recommended by us.

Excellent Tour

This tour starts early morning, to try to beat some of the crowds. It seems to have worked for the ruins. The guide will keep the group together, but there is not really any risk of getting lost -- just keep on walking downhill! The visit to Mother Mary's House was a bit disappointing. I did not know what to expect, but I did not feel Her presence, as I had hoped. However, this was the main point of the tour for me, and I would visit it again. I would have liked to skip the rug demonstration and sales opportunity, but one couple in our group did fall in love with a rug, which they bought. They were happy with the price and quality. So it is good that the tour included this stop. The rug company is shipping the rug, so this couple did not have to deal with it. Because it is on a credit card, and because the tour company has been dealing with this rug company for many years, there should be no problems! We stopped at a candy store, and my wife bought some boxes of Turkish Delight to bring home as gifts. These were very well received by our friends. There were enough bathroom stops for all of our tour group. Our guide, Bugra, was excellent. His English was good, and he enjoyed relating the history and stories of the ancient times. And he was very delicate in dealing with the religious issues of Turkey's history. No one (Muslim, Orthodox or Jews) could take offence! Overall, a very good tour, that I would recommend to my friends.

Great excursion

This excursion at first view looked more expensive than others. But one must take into account what’s included. You get a well appointed spotlessly clean private bus, with a good driver. A very knowledgeable, pleasant guide. Doing all he can to deliver you a great day. Prepaid entrance tickets without the wait. Topped off by a good traditional Greek luncheon. I highly recommend this tour.

A wonderful experience in Ephesus Turkey

Kai & Sebastian were excellent guide and driver. Pick up was easy even among the chaos of coming off a cruise ship. They knew how to get ahead of the crowds but we never felt rushed. Kai was knowledgeable and informative on all 3 of our stops (we elected not to see the temple of Artemis.). The lunch was great and traditional. Afterwards we toured the carpet factory sponsored by the government. This was also informative and Kai told us we were not obliged to purchase anything. We had an early All Aboard and the men got us back in time for last minute shopping. Overall I highly recommend this tour.

Best tour guide EVER!!

Aybike was our guide! She was fantastic!! Very educated and informed about the areas we were visiting. 20 out of 10 recommend her! She enhanced our experience, answered all our questions. This was the start of our vacation and it was fantastic. Could have done without the carpet part, but that food was fabulous and I couldn’t get enough. It was a hot day and was hard to eat but I had seconds and wished I could have taken it home with me!! This IS the tour to take with Aybike if you’re in this area!!

Hands down 1st class guide and tour. The Turkish hospitality was incredible. I left my phone at the house of the Virgin Mary and they helped turn a nightmare into a happy ending. Immediately got on the phone with their peers to secure it. Turkey will always have a special place in our hearts. Tour was fantastic and very educating. Our guide spoke incredible english and was wealth of knowledge.
