Minimal walking to sites one could easily find alone….sadly guided by a Spaniard, who could tell us little of Norwegian life, & not even aware of the popularity of saunas ; indeed she did not understand the word sauna.
On the plus side she was ‘trying hard’ & went over the allotted 2 hrs.
Too little walking & too cold to stand around.

Our walking tour covered all of the highlights of the historic centre of Stavanger. We covered a lot of ground and learned a lot about the history and points of interest. Andrea was an engaging guide and we really enjoyed the Norwegian language and fun facts she imparted. I’d highly recommend this tour. Great value for money.

This tour requires extensive walking on both paved, gravelly and cobblestone walkways. Check the weather before heading out as it is changeable. Our guide had extensive knowledge not only about what we were seeing, but also the history behind it.

Guide was very knowledgeable about the area. Our ship was delayed getting into port due to unavailability of pilot. We were over an our late arriving at the meeting point, yet she was there waiting for us and entire tour was completed. Truly went above and beyond!

It is a walking tour so you will be going at the port area and up and down hills. Wear good shoes and prepare for changeable weather. The tour covers the major highlights of Stavanger.

Mediocre at best. The guide was neither animated nor informed. She seemed to struggle throughout the experience but in fairness, neither her first nor second language was English. The tour was very dull and I learned little or nothing about Stavanger.

Our guide never showed up. We were there 10 minutes early and waited a full hour in the cold, called Viator who emailed the local people but got no response. We sure never expected this.

This tour is a great introduction to the city, and it really helps you get your bearings for exploring on your own afterward. Our guide was good—she had a solid understanding of the city's history and conducted the tour to the best of her ability. While she didn’t come across as an expert on the subject, she was thorough and never rushed through any part of the tour. In fact, the tour lasted longer than expected, which was a nice bonus, and she made sure not to cut any corners. Overall, a good experience!
