What are people saying about South Africa

Book it!
The communication about the tour was excellent. A couple of days before the excursion, the company reached out via WhatsApp to inform that unfortunately due to Table Mountain's annual winter maintenance, the tour would not be visiting this location; however, on the day of the tour, my tour guide, Kelvin, gave the group options as to what we could do instead. The tour went on as planned and a partial refund was issued. This tour is worth it because of the amount of stops along the way. No complaints!

Wonderful day in the vineyards - with excellent guide
Really enjoyed the day - immersed in different vineyards, very ably led by Bonga our knowledgeable and personable guide.
Whislt being something of a prodcution line, pourers at individual estates were happy to go off piste and silp in the odd extra glass.
My only gripe would be the lack of knowledge, understanding and adventure in others on the (small) tour.

Awesomeness
Johannesburg and Soweto are already unforgettable on their own — but experiencing them through the tour guide named Thabiso elevates everything.
⭐ A Truly Exceptional African Tour Guide: Thabiso
If you want more than a tour — if you want an experience — ask for Thabiso. From the moment he reached out on WhatsApp, early and professional, he set the tone for a day that was thoughtful, safe, and deeply meaningful. He doesn’t just show you Johannesburg and Soweto; he reveals the parts most visitors never see.
Thabiso guides with heart. He brings you into the real Jozi — vibrant, creative, and full of life — then into Soweto, where history still breathes through every street. He explains apartheid with clarity and compassion, including the powerful truth that the uprising was sparked by children just 11 to 14 years old. His storytelling makes you feel the courage, the pain, and the triumph of a community that fought for freedom.
He also helps you understand the complex identities shaped by apartheid — the differences between coloured and black communities — in a way that is respectful, honest, and eye‑opening.
Because of Thabiso, Johannesburg and Soweto became the most unique and historically powerful places we’ve visited in a while. He doesn’t rush, he doesn’t rehearse — he connects. And that connection stays with you long after the tour ends.
As Mandela said, “It always seems impossible until it is done.”
Thabiso shows you the place where impossible became possible.

Very Interesting!!
This tour was bittersweet for me. I booked the tour for me and my adult son however, my son ended up very sick and couldn’t attend the tour. Aside from that, the tour was great! My guide Lebo could not have been any more AMAZING! He was kind, with a quiet demeanor but he wasn’t quiet at all. He was so well informed and shared so much information about the places we went and the things that I saw. I really enjoyed talking with him.
Since my son was sick and missed out on the activities of the Joberg part of our trip, we may have to visit Joberg again in the future. If so, I would not hesitate to book this tour again!
Thanks Lebo for such an interesting and informative tour!!!
Until next time…

Solo Traveler Recommends
If you're sitting on this, book it! I'm not usually a tour person, but I'm so glad I did this. Not only was our guide, Peter, great, but the trip to the Cape was also a highlight of my travels. Even with periods of rain/fog, it was worth it (good moody vibes). There were three solo travelers on the tour, and I would recommend it for other solo female travelers. I do not think you could safely do everything on this tour as a single woman without the group element. If you plan to do the Cape lighthouse hike, wear shoes with good tread. Bring a rain jacket and snacks. Enjoy!

Cape Winelands Tour
Enjoyed the Cape Winelands tour to Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. It was great to taste all the different flavors of wine and experience the beautiful landscapes of South Africa. Also got to visit the prison where Nelson Mandela was released in Paarl in 1990. Great tour!

Table Mountain and Cape Point Tour
Enjoyed the tour to Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point Nature Reserve and Bo-Kaap. Our tour guide and driver were amazing. It was so cool to drive along Chapman's peak and experience the breathtaking views of Cape Town. Our lunch at Bertha's Restaurant in Simon's Town was great with amazing views. My favorite stop along the tour was to Boulders Beach where we got to see the African Penguin colony. Overall, it was an amazing day and we really enjoyed!

Driver was so kind and...
Driver was so kind and knowledgeable. He taught us South African history and other very interesting stories and stopped several viewpoints for us to take photos during the tour.
It was unforgettable experience and we definitely recommend this tour to our friends.

A wonderful day in Pilanesburg
i highly recommend this unique experience! We saw a plethora of animals up close and personal due to our brilliant guide Martin. He is humorous, intelligent, professional and you will learn so much about the bush: even for a South African born woman. Definitely request Martin; as well as the gracious Sibu who is kind and professional. This is a deep tour: loved it!!

Best views and experience in Africa
This was a special experience. We spent a week in South Africa and this was our last experience. It made our entire trip. What a memorable ending to a wonderful experience. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for the most gorgeous views in all of South Africa and anyone who enjoys the best wine in the world. 10/10!!

Amazing!
Absolutely amazing tour! At first we were concerned it may be too fast-paced and rushed but it definitely wasn't! We had enough time at all the stops and it we had such a great time. The explanations by our host was also really helpful and the energy and excitement was much enjoyed. We would have liked to have a small breakfast stop as we were picked up very early so couldn't get something to eat and didn't end up eating till around 2pm, but that's the only thing I would have picked up on. Aside from that we loved it and this tour was easily one of our favourite things on our holiday.

Definitely One of The Highlights of Our Busy Trip
Wild X Atlantis Quads - CPT
Right out of the gate I’ll say that this was one of the best ATV tours our 5 riders have been on! Most of us had previously selected Cabo as being the best. The key difference being the height of some of the dunes, the beauty and the low level of dust in the air. We barely got dirty! Experience details:
⁃ It was very easy to book via Viator if you did so early. We had a few last minute add ons and they had trouble getting a confirmation before we left for the dunes.
⁃ Price was fair. They offered better promotions about 2 weeks before our date.
⁃ Transportation is not provided so you’re on your own. We called an Uber for what was a 45 min ride. Leave early! Be careful with the Uber rides because our driver told us we probably wouldn’t be able to get a ride back because of the isolated location and offered us an outrageous price to wait and return. We took our chances because he wanted 4x what we paid to get out there. We did find an Uber van that happened to be there afterwards and it was for a fair price. Phone signals can be iffy out there.
⁃ The beauty of the white sand dunes is off the charts. No, there is no water nearby so you won’t have that in your pictures.
⁃ Tour guide- was chilled and laid back. Gave us an adequate briefing based on our experience levels. There was no problem with getting your fun on in this high paced ride. We stopped maybe twice however because of ATV issues. Thankfully he was able to get them changed out very quickly. They also let you bring your phones along so you can shoot photos at various stops. He even offered to shoot motion video with one of the phons and it came out studio quality.
⁃ Paperwork will need to be filled out before you start. It is basically waivers of course.
⁃ No food or water is provided but I did see places at the meet point where you could buy things.
⁃ We would definitely recommend WildX and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.
⁃ Although the dust levels are at a minimum, I would definitely recommend bringing some type of face cover and nice fitting shades. There are face shields but I left mine up most of the ride
