What are people saying about Sorrento

Pizza making fun!
We had a great experience learning how to make pizza. The fun began with our ride up to the farm with Francesco. He was so friendly and funny. We met his wife who gave us tasty cherry juice. Then we met one of their daughters Ana who gave us instructions on the pizza making process. It was an enjoyable experience making the dough and then afterwards kneading it and tossing it like the pros! The pizza came out delicious. We also tasted some limoncello. Everything we had was made fresh on the farm. We had a wonderful time today. We highly recommend this activity.

Superb!!
It was a wonderful tour!! Got some true local history and saw points of interest I’d never would have seen. Our guide Julia was very nice and I highly recommend this tour. It was a nice way to walk the streets of Sorrento and to learn its history and had a really delicious authentic treat along the way.

Missing this wine tasting experience would be a huge mistake!
This was an excellent experience. The venue, up a tiny lane, around a corner, up some marble steps into a restaurant with a beautiful sunny, secret garden. It was complete with vegetable garden, citrus and pomegranate trees and views up to the hills behind Sorrento. Francesco, the sommelier, took us through a selection of 5 Campanian wines, starting with a sparkling wine (not Prosecco!). Two different white wines gave us the chance to practice Francesco's useful tips on how to assess and taste wine. These tips were then further enhanced by the provision of some beautiful food accompaniments and appreciation of how food and wine can improve each other. Particular mention of the Falanghinia wine when paired with mozzarella, anchovy and fresh lemon zest - an absolute triumph. The last two wines, also paired with food, were a rosè and red - again, delicious. Overall, we both loved this experience and cannot recommend it, or Francesco, highly enough. On a side note, we stayed at the restaurant for dolchi which was delicious so we booked to return for a full dinner a couple of days later.

The food tour was more...
The food tour was more than tasting our way around the charming streets of Sorrento. Tamara was our guide and she made us feel like family. She shared facts, history, hot spots, shopping tips and her passion for delicious local food and drinks. We had such a great day and experience. I highly recommend this tour especially with Tamara!

While Sorrento isn’t synonymous with wine like Tuscany, this coastal town overlooking the Bay of Naples has plenty to offer oenophiles or casual wine drinkers looking to learn about one of Italy’s greatest exports. What’s more, because the region is so fertile, Sorrento wine tasting tours often incorporate sampling other local products, too; think olive oil, limoncello (Sorrento’s lemony signature drink), and in some cases, pizza. Most tours take place in town or at family-owned farms with transfers included.
