Full of adventure!
Our guides were fantastic! My partner and I took our 13 yo son and all of us had an amazing time. If you aren’t sure you can handle the rock water slides, cliff jumping, or rope swings, you can hang back and enjoy the beauty of the area and relax in the water, but if you can, I’d fully recommend continuing onward. So much fun and the guides are kind and make sure you know where to put your hands and feet to make your way across. Bring water shoes with good grips and some “I can do this!” And you’ll have an incredible time! They take lots of pics and airdrop or WhatsApp it to you after so you can forget all of that and just fully immerse yourself in the moment. Also stopped by a spot with delicious food and smoothies afterward. Don’t have to get anything there, but worth it if you do 🫶 Recommend 1000%!

Would 100% do again
Our guide, Adynn took us through the rainforest. She was very informative, I felt intrigued to learn more and she would answer any questions I asked. I came as a solo female and she made sure I felt comfortable and safe, as the rest of the group were all men. Adynn also considered the group and would ask us our preferences to make the trip more enjoyable for everyone! I would definitely book again and recommend others to book!!

Must Do Excursion
One of the best excursions if not the best our family has been on. We had a great time hiking and climbing through the rainforest and jumping from the cliffs, rope swings and natural water slides. Our tour guide Myrllam was very knowledgeable and passionate about her work. Lifetime memory made and would 100% recommend.

Long but Fun Day
This tour is done through two different companies. Island Journeys is the first company that takes you to the El Yunque Rainforest where you partake in hiking and scrambling/climbing which eventually leads to an awesome natural water slide, cliff jump, and rope swing. Each of which are optional but I highly recommend as it was so fun! Our tour guides, Amauri and Jean were fantastic. Gave us great information about the area and plant life mixing in some humor to keep us entertained. They did a great job guiding us through the scrambling and climbing and made sure we stayed safe. After we finished with the slide, cliff jump and rope, they then fed us fresh fruit before we began the hike back to the van. We were then dropped off at a marina restaurant where we got to have a wonderful early dinner. Then we were taken to the kayak company where they offered us bug spray and lockers for our things before loading up into kayaks for the bioluminescent lagoon tour. We were warned ahead via email that the glow would be very low due to seaweed messing up the oxygen levels but they tried their hardest to create opportunities by providing tarps to create more darkness and giving techniques to increase our chances of seeing the glow. They taught us about some of the other animals located on the island before we began the journey back. Fair warning, while this was a very fun day it was long, and fairly physical. You will be required to have closed toed shoes that have decent grip.

Best excursion in PR!
Our favorite trip of our whole wonderful vacation to PR! Yamile is the sweetest, most caring and knowledgeable guide you could ask for. The caves were absolutely breathtaking and she took us to places we would have never found if we went on our own. On top of they, she took hundreds of pictures and shared them all! She made sure our day was perfect. Thank you so much!!

Rock stars
Abel and his family were excellent guides. They helped 2 of our party get back safely when they weren't able to continue. And they also got me a ride up the hill after I had an asthma attack. Then they showed us a wonderful place to eat Puerto Rican food and helped us order.

Great tour with a very experienced guide!
Our guide Lewis was amazing! He was really engaging with the kids and made them leaf hats. He was also very knowledgeable about the rainforest and even know a lot of the backstory of the few residents of the rainforest. I would highly recommend this tour. We did this as a cruise excursion and they got us back to the port with enough time to explore Old Town on foot for a few hours.

Sacred ground, wild water, and a guide who made it all come alive
A rare tour where the experience exceeded description. Our small group moved through cliff faces etched with Taíno petroglyphs, ducked into caves that felt genuinely ancient, and finished soaking wet in the best possible way: jumping into a river, swimming through a cave pool, and standing under a waterfall that hit like a reset button.
Guide elevated the experience. His knowledge of Taíno history, cosmology, and spiritual relationship to the land wasn't Wikipedia-level recitation — it was contextual, felt, and clearly personal. As a local (he grew up and still lives in the area, you knew the river "belongs" to him in some deeper sense, not just geographically..
He was also genuinely warm and attentive. One group member was hesitant about squeezing through the narrow entrance into the cave, and he handled it with exactly the right mix of patience, encouragement, and zero pressure.
Two suggestions for an already excellent experience: the pacing in the 2sthalf felt slightly rushed — more time to sit inside the cave environment, especially after the cultural context our guide had built, would go a long way. And by the midpoint, between the heat and the swimming, a simple food option — fruit, something local and light — would be a welcome addition.
Would recommend without hesitation, especially for anyone who wants an experience that holds cultural depth and physical adventure together.

Fun Trip to the Falls and Beach!
This is a nice adventure with the family and even little kids. Babies/toddlers, you’ll be carrying them most of the time. I had my kids ages 9 and 11 with me. To meet up with the tour guide we had to meet at Plaza de Colon. I came out of the princess cruises port. If you’re coming off from princess/carnival and as you walk out of the port, you will see a Walgreens directly in front. Walk to the right of it and go straight up the slight incline and get to the center of the plaza with the big statue and the I❤️San Juan (SJ) picture op. Pretty short and doable walk. We met up with Jose Gabriel who was very communicative via WhatsApp. Our disembarkation was delayed due to strong winds. He made our trip very enjoyable and fun, the collective group decided to spend more time at the beach so we left the store/restroom area earlier so we can get to the adventures faster. He was very mindful for our safety and gave us great historical background into the plants, wildlife and Puerto Rico’s history. Everyone had a great time. Wear slip on water shoes or tennis shoes however, when it comes to climbing the rocks to slide down the natural slides, take the shoes off and climb with socks. The shoes do not hold the grip like socks do. Barefoot - not a good idea unless you spend your whole time walking on rocks and rainforest type ground. Socks was the secret to keeping your grip. You will have time to stay at the beach and do some shopping. Everyone had music bumping! Don’t be surprised to walk-dance because that’s the beach vibe ☀️

We had a great time...
We had a great time taking a salsa class in the park in Puerto Rico. Steven was an excellent teacher—easy to follow, full of positive energy, and brought really great vibes to the whole experience. He explained the steps clearly and made it fun from start to finish.
I’d definitely recommend this class whether you’ve never danced salsa before or already know some basics and want to improve. My wife and I both had a blast!

Fabulous cave swimming
Fantastic experience. You WILL be fully immersed in the water and the water is on the cool side. There is a lot of scrambling and climbing; you need high quality water shoes. I actually wore socks with mine which was surprisingly helpful. You should be at least moderately fit and good balance is helpful. Be prepared for some steep climbs.
