This was, without question, one of the highlights of our trip to São Miguel. A huge thank you to our incredible guides—Diana, Claudio, and João. They were knowledgeable, professional, encouraging, and made every single person in the group feel safe and supported throughout the entire experience. I’ll admit that when I first put on the wetsuit, I felt surprisingly anxious. I’d never worn one before, and the tightness made me a little uncomfortable. The guides immediately noticed, reassured me that those feelings were completely normal, and reminded me that once we started hiking and got into nature, I’d feel much better. They were absolutely right. Their calm confidence made all the difference, and within a short time I was completely enjoying myself. The canyoning adventure itself was unforgettable. You’ll hike through stunning natural scenery, climb alongside waterfalls, rappel down beautiful cascades, float through crystal-clear pools, and even have the chance to cliff jump if you’re feeling adventurous. The jumps weren’t intimidatingly high, but they were just enough to push many of us outside our comfort zones—and the encouragement from both the guides and the group made those moments incredibly rewarding. The scenery was simply breathtaking. We visited places we never would have discovered on our own, and being immersed in such a beautiful part of the island made the entire experience feel magical. Safety was clearly the top priority from beginning to end. The guides watched over every participant, carefully explained each section before we tackled it, and made sure everyone was comfortable before moving on. All of the necessary equipment was provided, and everything was well organized. Our group included adults, teenagers, and even some younger participants who tackled the course with amazing confidence. You don’t have to be an extreme thrill seeker to enjoy this experience—just come with an open mind and a willingness to try something new. By the end of the tour, my husband and I felt an incredible sense of accomplishment. There’s something special about pushing yourself just a little outside your comfort zone while surrounded by such spectacular natural beauty. We left smiling, energized, and so grateful we chose to do it. If you’re visiting São Miguel, don’t miss this experience. It’s an adventure you’ll be talking about long after your vacation ends.

Wow wow wow, what an amazing experience. First we were hiking, then we were jumping into cool refreshing water, then we were learning how to repel. Joao and his partner kept us safe, entertained, and feeling like a family the whole time, though we had all just met. The emphasis on safety and taking the important parts seriously was perfectly balanced with the fun, easygoing vibes. If you're considering going canyoning, jump in and take the plunge with these guys. You won't regret it.

Had such a blast on this tour. Our guides Ricardo and Durago were fantastic, always keeping safety as a priority and keeping us entertained along the way. Such a thrilling adventure in such beautiful landscape.

We had a blast with this experience! I was unprepared for the hike up to the top, it was pretty hard for those not used to hiking especially while wearing a wetsuit but once we got up to the top is was a great time. The water was refreshing and cool. The guides did a great job at explaining the safety processes so we felt comfortable the whole time. Would definitely recommend!

If you don't have a fear of heights, definitely a good experience and beginner friendly. Our group had ziplining, jump from waterfall (not too tall), fairly short rappelling and a final taller jump. I am not a swimmer but they were still accomodating with a life vest. Honestly I think I would have wanted a bit more but with the halfday timeframe and number of people we had to wait for in our group (8 adults and 5 children) it was difficult.

Great mix of cliff jumping, zip lining, and rappelling. Tour guide Daniela was great and the pick up was on time
