This was an INCREDIBLE experience. Zip line, rock slide, rappelling, and high jumps into the water…with the coolest guides ever! Everything was taken care of for you. Just show up, squeeze into your wetsuit, and go. You cannot beat this day in one of the most beautiful places on earth!

I had such an amazing time canyoning in Ribeira dos Caldeirões! Our three guides were absolutely fantastic – patient, kind, and incredibly supportive throughout the whole experience. As a complete beginner, I was a little nervous at first, but they made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. Their encouragement and clear instructions made the adventure not only safe but so much fun. I loved getting to try something new and exciting in such a beautiful setting. Huge thanks to Ines, Teresa and Daniela for making this such a memorable experience! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

So much fun. You definitely need to be fit and should be able to swim. We did a kind of zip line off a waterfall, went down a natural waterslide, rappelled down a small waterfall, and did a cliff jump. I hate heights and this was all really hard for me, but I love an adventure and I’m so happy I pushed myself. Tip: be in the first 5 people to do each jump/rappel/etc. if you are nervous.
The guides were wonderful and so funny, they did a great job of making people feel secure and safe while still keeping it light and fun. I lost the paper with their names, but we were on a morning trip with João, a name that started with a G, and a woman. All 3 were so great and experienced, I wish we had time to do other excursions with them as guides (we heard about a kayaking trip but only had one day left on our trip).

Very fun and adventurous tour! Beautiful scenery and helpful and fun guides. The tour itself was not too strenuous, but everything we did was a lot of fun. It was a good variety of jumps, rappelling, and "water sliding" down. Highly recommend!

This was a great experience and our guides (Hugo and Pedro) were fabulous. The scenery was beautiful and the guides were very patient and courteous. My only suggestion is that this is a physically strenuous activity - you need to be in good shape just for the walking/hiking portion of the excursion.

Had an absolute blast! Bruno, Ricardo, and Teresa were amazing! You get to experience a little bit of everything on this excursion. A little hiking (10-15 mins), short zipline into the water, a small slide/jump, followed by repelling down a waterfall and various jumping points (ranging from 10-50 feet). These were all optional but it’s worth doing every jump! Could’ve have asked for a better experience and the terrain was beautiful.

My wife Emily and I had an unforgettable experience canyoning in Ribeira dos Caldeirões. This was the top item on my Azores bucket list, and it exceeded all expectations.
The adventure included rappelling down waterfalls, sliding through natural chutes, and cliff jumps—all set in a stunning, lush landscape. Our guides were professional and fun, striking the perfect balance between safety and excitement.
Everything was well-organized, from the gear to the logistics, and the guides even took amazing photos and videos of the experience.
If you're up for adventure in the Azores, this is the one to do.

I did not fully understand what canyoning was when I signed up for this. Our trip was for age 12-67 family trip. We hiked, zip lined, cliff jumped, and went down rock slides. The views were gorgeous. The staff was so supportive and encouraged us to move at our pace. The group was supportive of each other. Afterwards there was such a feeling of accomplishment. My children LOVED this. And, while this was a challenge for my mother it was not too much and she was able to push her comfort zone. 100% would recommend!

My partner and I have never done anything like this and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The route is amazing & very scenic, the guides are friendly & make you feel safe during your journey explaining and helping you at every turn! There is no pressure to take part in something you don’t feel comfortable doing and plenty of support to get you through to the end. Ricardo & Teresa were brilliant throughout and got myself through it with a laugh and a joke at every step.
We will definitely be booking again (albeit it may only be my partner who does it this time!)

This was a wonderful experience. The guides were amazing and funny. The only thing I would include in the trip description is what to bring. I booked this not knowing what to expect so I didn’t know I needed a bathing suit and towel. I also wish they included water.

We had a blast with this experience! I was unprepared for the hike up to the top, it was pretty hard for those not used to hiking especially while wearing a wetsuit but once we got up to the top is was a great time. The water was refreshing and cool. The guides did a great job at explaining the safety processes so we felt comfortable the whole time. Would definitely recommend!

Whilst you need to be quite fit to optimise this activity the guides are extremely thoughtful, helpful and funny and ensure that safety is the priority. A range of activities and beautiful setting result in a huge selection of photos and videos being sent the next day which was a bonus. Highly recommend this location, company and activity.

We had a super fun morning with our guides Ricardo / Rodriguez (hope I remembered correctly) who were funny and easy going, but gave everyone clear instructions when it came to safety. I only wished ir was longer and that we had more opportunities to abseil / zipline! Plenty of jumps which was very thrilling.
