- Dress code is smart casual. Shoulders must be covered to visit the Cathedral
- A maximum of 15 people per booking
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation (up to 24 hours before the start time) if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
- Minimun numbers apply for the language. If there are not enough passenger asking for the same language the tour could be bilingual
- Please note: the Cathedral in closed on Sunday mornings (it will open at 2pm)
- Admission is free only for disabled visitors with their helper, upon presentation of suitable certification to the cashier.
- For safety reasons, children who will not have turned 8 by the end of this year as well as infants are not permitted to enter.
- Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. ID may be requested to certify the age.
- Hand bags/bags/luggage must be left at the cloakroom before the visit and picked up at the end of the visit.
- The visit takes about 35 minutes. The climb is on foot and there are 251 steps.
- The visit is not recommended for people with cardiovascular and muscular disorders.
- The floor is uneven and slippery
- The guide will wait at the meeting point not longer than 5', then the tour starts. If you are late you can try to call the guide and reach the group at the entrance of the Leaning Tower.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 20 travelers

While our tour guide was knowledgeable, the tour was both in English and Italian. This was disappointing and feel like only got value for half the time I paid for. Could not ask questions and our guide seemed to favor speaking more with the Italians in the group. At the end, felt disappointed. When I signed up for the tour, there was nothing said that it was to be in multiple languages.

We always encourage guests to read not only the title and main text but also the “Additional Information” section, where it specifically says:
“Minimum numbers apply for the language. If there are not enough passengers requesting the same language, the tour could be bilingual.”
Regarding your impression that the guide spoke more in Italian — if you don’t speak the language, please rest assured that the guide provided the same information in both languages. Italian often requires more words to express the same concepts, which can make it sound longer, even when the content is identical.
We know your guide personally and can confidently say they always ensure every guest feels included and free to ask questions, as you can also see reflected in many other reviews before yours.

Of course, we all have to see the Tower - but in my opinion the Basilica steals the show. Absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Our guide Eloise successfully navigated our small group through the mobs getting their shots holding up the tower, while giving us a lot of great information. She was very kind and incredibly knowledgeable. If you're going to visit Pisa, I think you will be disappointed in your visit if you don't invest in a guided tour, a great guide like Eloise adds so much to the experience.

Great tour of the Piazza with a climb of the tower after the tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and even took some great pics for us. She knew the spots to avoid the crowds and kept us in the shade. It included tickets to explore the cathedral after the climb.

We did a day trip to Pisa to see the leaning tower. The skip-the-line tickets were VERY helpful to keep this to a day trip. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about not just the tower, but the other historical landmarks in the Piazza as well. Because we were just doing a day trip, not having tickets included to the Baptistery and Cemetery was fine, but if you have longer in Pisa, I would recommend looking for a tour that was all or the historical landmarks included in the experience.

A very knowledgable guide! Loved the basilica and the history. I've been up the tower before (20 years ago) but this was a much better experience. Skip the lines, so not waiting in the sun.. then we went up the tower at our own pace. With 38 degree weather, got to stop at each level to appreciate the breeze. Unlimited amount of time at the bell tower. A great experiience with our kids!!

Eloise was very knowledgeable and her English was great! We did the tour in June and it was a million degrees. She was so mindful of the heat and took care to keep us in the shade as much as possible. I would definitely book this tour again!

We traveled as a family with 11 year old and 16 year old boys and we enjoyed the experience very much. We met our tour guide, Eloise, early in the morning before any crowds had gathered in the Square of Miracles. We had a private tour with her which was just incredible! She kept us interested and engaged the entire time. Then when her tour was completed, we got to climb to the top of the leaning tower. This was one of the most memorable moments of our entire trip in Italy. Highly recommend this tour with Eloise!

This was one of the highlights of our trip! Our tour guide was SO educated on the churches and the tower. We moved swiftly through the tour and learned about things we never would’ve knew by just viewing on our own. If you are physically able, CLIMB THE STEPS inside. Pay for that ticket. It’s definitely a must do! We adored this part of our trip! Would highly recommend!

Talk about a small group tour we lucked out and got a private tour all to ourselves. I will say that we really lucked out most tour companies would have canceled but we got the full tour and all her attention. She was extremely knowledgeable of the area and history.
