A Must Do
Even through the mist and fog, which we thought practically added to the experience, it was thoroughly enjoyable. Amy was a wonderful and interesting tour guide. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the paranormal made her stories come to life. We would recommend not missing this tour on you trip to Gettysburg. It also seems like this tour company (Ghost Tours) is the one to use for their other tours as well.

Truth is scarier than fiction.
Blood on the Battlefield Ghost Tour is the perfect experience for someone who wants history and facts with a side of spookiness and ghosts. Our tour guide, Dustin (who was fantastic and engaging!) described this as 70% history, 30% ghost stories, and that is a great elevator ride description.
But what makes this tour so spooky (aside from being later at night, which was part of the fun) is that reality is a lot scarier than fiction. The stories are seeped in truth and horror.
Will you be frightened? Maybe, but not necessarily by the paranormal (our tour did look for some activity!) but by the violent side of human nature and the horrors of the battle.
This tour also benefits from being adults only, which allows the tour guide to not censor or white wash the stories being told.
The walking isn't a whole heck of a lot but you are standing for much of the 90 minutes, so those who are mobility challenged or cannot stand for long periods of time might not be able to go on this tour.

Ghostly Philadelphia
Tour guide Erin was great. She had an indepth knowledge of the historical events, architectural importance and people involved in the creation of the USA. AND ghostly associations. AND current Philadelphia issues.
She was pleasant and answered my many questions.
A nice way to spend a lovely crisp eveining in the historical area of Philadelphia.

We had no idea what we...
We had no idea what we were getting into, but it was honestly so much fun! Our guide was so entertaining and a great story teller. It was crazy that the tools actually seemed to work! Not scary at all, just a good time. We even ended up with an orb in the pictures. How cool!

Informative, Entertaining, and Engaging!
Our tour guide Chris (Kris? Sorry, unsure of spelling!) did an absolutely amazing job keeping our group invested - whether you're a history junkie or a ghost nut, the paranormal aspect is mixed in with the tragic history of the orphanage during the war; and Chris's acting, story-telling, and portrayal of events was phenomenal - you can immediately tell she is passionate about what she does! The stories of the adults and children of the orphanage, what "Miss Rosa" put those poor kids through, the things those kids had seen... It's gut-wrenching. Even if you don't believe in the paranormal, this tour is absolutely worth it (along with the History tour!) for the story-telling alone!
The images provided here are from the basement - where you're informed about the further abuse and torture "Miss Rosa" committed against the children and given the option to potentially interact with their spirits with an EMF reader (whether you believe in that, or would just like to give it a go regardless as part of the experience!)

Wonderful for all ages
Walking tour great for all ages! My small kids joined my husband and I on this tour. It was perfect. The kids were engaged but not too scared. We loved learning about the families who lives in the historic homes during the war. Our guide shared pictures of experiences which my kids loved.

My 7-year-old loved it
I took my 7-year-old on this tour, and we had a blast. Our guide, George, handed out some ghost hunting equipment to the younger kids at the beginning of the tour, including my daughter, and she loved that. George connected with our entire group, and he kept us entertained throughout. The tour ended in the cellar, which is the scariest part. The tour was heavy on stories of previous hauntings in the house and light on history, but that's what we were expecting. Take a day time non-ghost tour for more history.

Civil War Civilian Ghost Tour
Our guide, Aurora, was very knowledgeable and thorough. The tour touched on the impact of the war on the civilians living in Gettysburg. This was her first year doing this tour and she did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend this tour for families looking to learn more about the hardships and danger civilians faced during the battle.
