I highly recommend this...
I highly recommend this tour and our guide, Pierre, was top notch. Not only did we taste a wide variety of food, but Pierre talked at great length about the history of Montmartre. There are a lot of hills and walking so be prepared but it is definitely worth it.

It’s Montmartre, prepare...
It’s Montmartre, prepare to walk, but the tour guide was very accommodating. She was also very knowledgeable

Our outstanding guide,...
Our outstanding guide, Hugo, led us on an intersering, fun-filled evening with five food stops along the way. We learned many interesting facts from our knowledgeable guide as we made our way to the top of Montmartre.

Up, up to Sacre Coeur
Lots of steps up to Sacre Coeur, or take the funicular for a partial break, our guide Frank gave us plenty of history of the Montmartre area on cool rainy afternoon. We first had trouble locating him at the meeting place, but a quick phone call and we were on our way. Try to go other than summer as it was crowded even in May.

Basilica of Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart) on Montmartre Hill, Paris, France.
  • Montmartre is a popular part of Paris, so be prepared for crowds in the busy summer season.

  • The neighborhood is a must-see for art history buffs and those looking for postcard views.

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes for the many stairs and cobbled streets.

  • Montmartre is not easily accessible for wheelchair users, thanks to raised curbs and cobblestone sidewalks.

  • If you’re interested in art or gardens, allow for time to visit the Musée de Montmartre.

  • Watch out for pickpockets, and don’t let the people walking around and selling things illegally distract you.
