Fabulous adventure!!!
What an amazing day!! Seas were a bit rough due to approaching Cyclone Vaianu which affected some on board - But we saw a juvenile sperm whale, a humpback whale, a pair of Orcas (Prop & Danny) plus a host of dolphins (Dusky and Common) that encircled the boat, a couple of flirty fur seals and so many birds! SCORE!!!! The crew was fantastic! If you go to Kaikoura and don't do this well organized adventure, you are missing out on something special

TransAlpine Train and Day Tour
We had a great day travelling on the TransAlpine train from Christchurch to Arthur’s Pass where we were met by Graham and the adventure continued! He provided us with a tour of the area and lots of history/interesting facts and provided stops for pictures. We were treated to a wonderful lunch before heading off to explore the Kira Tawhiti Conservation Area and the amazing boulders. Finally we had the most amazing visit to a working sheep farm where our fabulous hosts gave a demonstration of sheep herding, sheep shearing and provided us with a wonderful tea!

First-class trip!
Fabulous trip.
Chris was a super guide, showing us around Dunedin and then a slow drive around the peninsular. Very knowledgeable, pointing out the many birds and different wildlife to be seen. The walk on the beach to see the sea lions was wonderful.

A must do bucket list excursion!
This excursion will take your breath away! The views of the mountains, snow covered glaciers, lakes & Milford Sound can’t be beat! Our pilot Emma was not only very conscientious, she was incredibly knowledgeable. This was the highlight of our trip to Queenstown!

Professionally guided tour
The trip is easy going and very relaxed. Not much walking and is good for seniors. However, it won't give you a lot of time to explore things in depth other than the cultural village visit . It was worth noting that Terry who was tour guide/driver had demonstrated his in depth knowledge and attention to every details. He patiently answered every question asked. He really made a difference in this trip!

We had a very rainy trip...
We had a very rainy trip given the fact that it rains 200 days a year here, but that did give us thousands of temporary waterfalls. The ship accommodations were adequate, the food and drinks were delicious. The naturalist was very entertaining, knowledgeable and insightful and truly made the trip for us. During the rain I opted to take the boat ride to get closer to the shore, but unfortunately the driver of the boat was very soft spoken and between the rain and the motor, only the 3 people closest to him could hear his comments. Unlike with other boat excursions, he only drove in one direction, so if you were on the wrong side, everything he pointed out was directly behind you and impossible to see. On other boats the driver would turn the boat around so both sides of the boat could see.

An unforgettable...
An unforgettable experience from start to finish. The helicopter flight from Queenstown was breathtaking, with incredible views of mountains, glaciers, and remote valleys. The pilot was fantastic, made sure everyone had a great view, kept things relaxed, and added some good humor along the way.
The Milford Sound cruise was stunning and well organized, with plenty of space to enjoy the waterfalls and dramatic scenery. Everything ran smoothly and felt high-end without being over the top.
If you’re in Queenstown, this is a must-do. Worth every penny.

Fantastic Tour
We visited Dunedin, New Zealand while on a cruise. It was a fantastic tour. Pick up and drop off was very easy. Our tour guide Asta from Fantails picked us up from the cruise terminal. It was a small group of 4 people on the tour. Our tour guide Asta was very knowledgeable and she gave us a lot of information about Dunedin rich history. Scenic drives overlooking the city were stunning. We went to the Baldwin Street, steepest street in the world. Inside tours of the Olveston historic house with its rich history and inside tour of Larnach Castle with its beautiful gardens were our favorite. We also made short stops at University of Otago, Dunedin Railway Station, Dunedin Botanic Garden and First Church of Otago. It was a great tour, we spent a lovely and a memorable day with Asta. We highly recommend this tour.

A journey back in time.
The first part of the train journey was somewhat ordinary but as you travelled further the scenery turned out to be quite dramatic. The commentary was very interesting giving facts and details of the history of the area and the people who worked there during the gold rush of the mid 1800’s. Walking the bridge across the gorge was a welcome interlude. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable trip.

Truly Breathtaking Experience atop an Alpine Glacier
The Helicopter Line is a well-run, professional organization that does its job well. The entire staff was very helpful, they gave us a safety briefing beforehand, and then our pilot James was really adept at flying. This was our first time in a helicopter and it could not have been smoother. To land on and then exit the helicopter onto a glacier is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, I recommend everyone should do this!

Overview of Auckland to Wellington
I traveled solo during off season. It was great to have the tour guides/drivers practically to my self. The tour started in Auckland, but if you don’t plan anything else this tour provides nothing of Auckland. Hint: plan something. Hobbiton and the Waitomo caves were great. Rotorua Was fascinating with regards to the geothermal springs and learning about the Māori tribes/cilture. You must plan something ahead of time for the rest of the time here. Trip to Wellington was underwhelming as it is basically just taking a bus that has a few stops. Long enough to stretch your legs, but not longing to explore the cities. Would have been great if the bus stopped along way for some of the more scenic spots for pictures. This would not occur as this is a bus on a specific schedule. The Wellington tour was great. I was confused over some of the schedule having misplaced itinerary. Customer service was efficient and helped course correct. All lodgings were very nice.
