Now roads traverse deeper into the Himalayas so we take advantage of this to save you up to two days walking along dirt roads watching locals drive by to their villages This shortened version of the Poon Hill Trek allows for you to see all the highlights of the traditional trek without the first and last day road walk. Our day hike is a great way to enjoy mountain views, nature, and local culture—all in one day from Pokhara. After a 45-minute drive to Kande, you will hike for 1 to 1.5 hours to reach Australian Camp, where you can see beautiful views of the Annapurna and Fishtail mountains. If you like, you can also take a short extra hike to Pothana. Then, walk about 1 hour down to Dhampus village to explore Gurung culture and enjoy a tasty local lunch. After lunch, you will hike down for around 2 hours to Phedi, where a car will take you back to Pokhara. Our hike is flexible and can be adjusted to your pace and interest.
