Aarati (Arati) Pooja at Pashupatinath temple is an extraordinary cultural experience one can witness in Kathmandu. Besides Arati and Pashupatinath temple, the tour includes observing cremation ceremony on the bank of holy Bagmati River and visiting other monuments within the surrounding area. The Aarati Pooja is basically a day closing ceremony offering light, flower, incenses and other objects to Lord Shiva to whom the temple is dedicated to. The Ceremony is led by Hindu Bramhin Priests amidst the live Bhajana (devotional songs) joined by hundreds of devotees.
