With our faster boat, we easily cross the open water, while in the narrow channels we move slowly and carefully through peaceful natural surroundings. At the start of the tour, we pass by Lesendro Fortress and continue toward the famous three islands, where wide fields of water lilies stretch across the channels. From there, we head across the lake toward more distant and less visited waterways. Our destination is a hidden area we call the “Amazon.” Here, narrow and shallow channels wind through dense willow trees, reeds, and water lilies. Because of fallen branches and low water levels, larger boats cannot enter this area, which keeps it quiet and untouched. This peaceful part of the lake is home to many bird species, including kingfishers and herons. The tour offers a different side of the lake — calm, wild, and less explored.
