Top Malta Wildlife Encounters in 2026

Explore Malta’s underwater world with a local. Locations are chosen according to the best sea conditions of the day, allowing you to experience clear waters, natural rock formations and thriving marine life away from crowded areas whenever possible. What truly sets this experience apart is the trained eye for spotting creatures most people swim straight past. From perfectly camouflaged octopus blending into rocks, to moray eels hidden in crevices, nudibranchs, crabs, sea stars, and schools of fish, you’ll discover the fascinating details of Malta’s underwater world while learning about the animals and their behavior along the way. Marine life sightings are not guaranteed, as we are observing wild animals in their natural environment. Important to know: participants must know how to swim comfortably to join this experience.
