All Lapland Tours & Excursions in 2026

Had a fantastic time with Max and Mika last night hunting for the Northern Lights. It was a very clear night and the Auroras were predicted to come out so it was a pretty easy trip. But what I appreciated from Max was he always kept us updated as to what exactly we were doing, how long it would take us to get to his secret spot and when we stopped and reversed, he explained why his secret spot wasn’t too appropriate for us (snow was too thick). Instead we drove a few miles further to a desolate high road with a clear view of the skies and set up camp. Within minutes we saw faint lights which blossomed into huge Auroras that filled the sky and some that were right on top of us. Milka and Max were right there with their cameras constantly offering to take photos (sometimes multiple) to capture the moment. We stayed for over an hour until the lights faded then we headed back with Max and Milka handing out warm apple cider and cookies. I’ve hunted the Lights in Iceland previously with a little success. A lot of the trip really depends on Mother Nature and the Sun giving off its flares. But what made this trip nice was Max and Milka’s friendly manner, professionalism and smiling faces. I know they must do several trips a week but they made us feel like this trip was special. They are true representatives of the welcoming Finnish culture and I really enjoyed my night out. A few things that were confusing…Apple Maps gave a different location of the office. Luckily, I took an Uber and he dropped me off at the right office. It is crowded with multiple buses leaving at the same time but that’s a bit of a good thing as you can definitely find the office easily.

We had an incredible experience booking our Husky Tour. We had transport directly from our Airbnb to the kennel - Soulmate Kennels - near the Finnish border. The driver was friendly and talkative. The kennel itself was amazing. The dogs looked healthy and the scenery - oh, my, god. Endless taiga forests covered in snow and blue sky above with sunshine peeking through. The husky slushing itself is hard work - I much preferred being in the sleigh! The transport back was flexible and the driver was willing to drop us at Santa’s Village, despite this not expressly being included in the booking. We HIGHLY recommend this tour company.

It was my boyfriends 30th so I wanted to book him some amazing experiences for his time in Lapland. We found Snowride Lapland for snow mobiling (something he’s always wanted to do). It’s safe to say we picked the right company. From the moment we got picked up from our hotel to the end, the whole team and service was amazing. Especially Nacho, our instructor, who gave us the most incredible tour through the woods and kept us entertained the whole time. If you’re looking for the perfect place for your snow mobiling trip in Lapland, honestly look no further!

One the best activities of our trip! We initially went to a beautiful place where the sky, the trees and the snow were creating a magical scenery. After a while, we saw the lights. That made the scenery even more magical! After that, we went to a different place where we saw the phenomenon in its greatness. The lights were upon our heads, extremely bright and dancing! Many thanks to our great guide, Roman! He really knew where and when to go and we think we saw what we saw because of his experience. He also explained us everything about the northern lights and last but not least he took amazing photos of us under the lights to remember our experience.

This is a very efficient way to do both activities. Our tour guide was superb, communicative, and super helpful throughout. In retrospect I would have just done the reindeer farm; the husky village is OK, but the trip itself isn't all that great and it's much less informative and enjoyable than the reindeer ride and farm visit.

Wild about Lapland is a fantastic company and Mark was a great guide. He knew where to drive to best locations, we had a few stops where we experienced the aurora in all its beauty - magical swirls and patterns in pinks and greens - what a magical experience!

We had a great experience on this tour. Our guides were Santiago, Leevi, and Max. They were in good communication with other hunters and were persistent in finding clear skies; we drove all the way to Sweden and it paid off! We were on the group (bus) tour and we departed at 7:30pm and returned to Rovaniemi at 2:30am as most of the northern light activity occurred just around midnight. Wear ski pants if you have them as we did traverse some pretty snowy terrain to get away from the road. Guides were friendly, professional, persistent, and provided a link to download all the pictures they took of the tour participants. Great experience for us!

On March 10th, we joined this Northern Lights Photography tour, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable nights of our trip! We were a group of 8, and our guide Andi was nothing short of amazing. She was incredibly enthusiastic, well-prepared, and full of energy – even in the freezing -20°C weather! What really set this tour apart was Andi’s passion and professionalism. Unlike our previous experience with another company, Andi's energy kept the whole group excited throughout the night. Her excellent photography skills ensured that we not only saw the Northern Lights but also went home with stunning photos to cherish. She made spontaneous (yet careful and safe) stops at the best spots to capture the lights, and guided us patiently through the entire process. The tour started with a stop at their office where we picked up all the necessary gear – snow overalls, a professional DSLR camera with tripod, mobile tripod, etc. Based on real-time predictions, we headed north of Rovaniemi, toward the Levi region, to chase the lights – and we were not disappointed. The skies came alive with magical displays, and Andi made sure every moment was captured beautifully. This tour was well-organized, exciting, and led by a guide who truly loves what she does. If you're in Rovaniemi and want a memorable Northern Lights experience, this is the one to go for – and if you're lucky, you'll have Andi as your guide!
