Come and discover the beauties and breathtaking landscapes that only the lake has to offer. together we will discover the old disused railway that connected Menaggio to Porlezza, being able to enjoy the charm of not one but three lakes: Lake Como, Lake Piano and Lake Lugano (Ceresio). On this route we will be able to admire the historic centers of the small villages that characterize the valleys bordering the three lakes and we will stop at the most beautiful panoramic points. In order to make sure that you can fully enjoy the nature and the territory that we will visit, I studied a route that could immerse us as much as possible in nature and local culture; looking for roads and itineraries with little traffic and little tourism. Another key factor in choosing this tour is the fact that I fully experience, all year round, the places we will visit during the tour and I would like to convey the love I feel for my lake riding the best means of transport there is; the bicycle.

My wife and I booked a private boat tour on Lake Como during our honeymoon, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip. Our guide, Pier, was phenomenal from start to finish. A few days before the tour, he proactively reached out because he had been closely monitoring the weather. He suggested moving our departure to 10 AM to avoid potential rain and enjoy calmer water—and he was absolutely right. It ended up raining during our original time slot, something the weather apps didn’t even predict. That small adjustment made a huge difference and really set the tone for how thoughtful and attentive he was. We departed from Bellagio, and Pier guided us through the stunning villas around the central part of the lake. Being a Bellagio native, he brought everything to life with personal stories—sharing insights about the villa owners and his own family’s history in the area. It made the experience feel authentic and special, not just a standard tour. He also surprised us with snacks from a local bakery and a bottle of Italian Prosecco, which was a perfect touch. Enjoying that while taking in the views made the whole experience feel even more memorable and relaxed. At the end of the tour, he even offered to drop us off near the gardens in Bellagio so we could continue exploring without backtracking—another thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated. I can’t recommend this experience enough. If you’re visiting Lake Como, this is absolutely worth it.

If you want a tour of Lake Como's highlights, this is it. Between bus and boat, you get to see and visit interesting towns and travel the lake. It also skips over the border to Switzerland. The knowledgeable guide made sure we didn't miss a detail and got to some interesting restaurants.

Highly Recommend This GREAT Tour!

This was such a fun tour! Our boat driver/guide, Mario, was fantastic! He says he “only speaks a little English” but I’d say he actually speaks a lot and he speaks it very well. Our group was able to understand clearly when he was pointing out different villas and gardens around the lake. He was great at answering any questions we had too. He played music and offered prosecco about halfway through. There were also nonalcoholic options like water, juice, and coca-cola. He was able to keep the tour entertaining while still being informational. We went in early April, so it was about 50° F, and cloudy, but even with that, it was still a beautiful day and an overall wonderful experience. So, don’t be afraid to go, even on a cloudy day! Keep in mind, it is colder on the water, so make sure to bundle up if you are going in early spring. We booked this tour last minute, about two hours ahead of time, so we appreciated the flexibility of that as well. The meeting point was a little hectic because there were so many groups trying to get on their respective boats. Look for someone in a white shirt with “Salimar Tours” written in blue lettering. You can also ask any of the people in red hats selling other boat tours as they were nice enough to help direct us to the correct check-in people. It’s an experience, you’ll remember for a long time. Incredible tour. Very well organised and Dali our tour guide was amazing... super knowledgeable and approachable. Also feel it was super good value for money. Also loved that she recommended a restaurant and got us settled in Bellagio so we didn't waste precious time looking / waiting for somewhere to eat. We cannot say enough about this experience. It was an absolutely marvelous day from start to finish. Are two tour guides were so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We were all a little concerned about getting on and off the boat, but with their help it was easy to do. The speedboat itself was so clean and comfortable. The tour around Lake Como was breathtaking. Fantastic afternoon

We had an exceptional afternoon on the boat. Private tour. Great guide. Great opportunity to see, from the water. It worked better in our schedule to leave from Como versus their regular location. They accommodated this with an additional fee that we are happy to pay for the convenience it gave us. We would definitely book another day with them!
