Rolando was an excellent tour guide! Valle de la Luna was truly magical, and the cable car tour was fascinating. It offered a unique perspective on the different dynamics of La Paz. The city tour was equally impressive, from the historic colonial buildings to Plaza Murillo and the Witches’ Market. Overall, a 10/10 experience!

Great private tour of La Paz
Edson, the owner of Sami Tours, put together an awesome custom private half day tour of La Paz for us. We rode several teleferico lines and saw numerous sights around town. The tour flowed really well and we tasted some great snacks as well. Edson shared stories of the past and present with us and made us feel welcome in Bolivia. I highly recommend this tour.

11/10: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Uyuni Experience — Flawless from Start to Sunset
Our visit to the Uyuni Salt Flats was, without exaggeration, an 11 out of 10.
We started the journey in La Paz, taking an overnight bus to Uyuni. The bus ride itself isn’t glamorous — it’s a necessary investment in the experience — but it’s absolutely worth it in both directions once you see what awaits you.
When we arrived in Uyuni, Constancio was there waiting for us exactly as planned. From the first interaction, his professionalism stood out. He immediately took us to a local hotel where we could have breakfast and clean up from the bus ride before beginning the tour. That thoughtful touch set the tone for the entire day: organized, considerate, and exactly as advertised — if not better.
From there, the tour began, and it exceeded every expectation.
Julia, our guide, was exceptional. Her English was excellent, which made the experience seamless and engaging. She was patient, answered every question thoroughly, and demonstrated deep knowledge of the geology, history, and culture of the region. Beyond her expertise, she was genuinely fun to spend the day with — warm, funny, and incredibly easy to interact with. On a private tour, personality matters, and Julia made the experience feel personal without ever being overbearing. She struck the perfect balance of professionalism and approachability.
Constancio was equally impressive behind the wheel. Navigating the vast salt flats requires skill and awareness, and we always felt completely safe and well taken care of. He was punctual, attentive, and clearly experienced. Together, Julia and Constancio made a fantastic team.
As for Uyuni itself — it is a must-see, once-in-a-lifetime destination. The scale, the silence, the reflections, the endless white horizon — it’s movingly beautiful in a way that’s difficult to articulate. It doesn’t just look stunning; it feels profound. The lunch in the middle of the flats and the sunset were absolute highlights. Watching the colors shift across the sky and reflect off the salt was something we will never forget.
Every element of the tour matched or exceeded what was promised. Logistics were smooth. Timing was perfect. Communication was clear. It felt premium, curated, and professionally executed from start to finish.
The only minor complaint was the bus ride — but again, that’s part of the journey and absolutely worth it.
If you’re considering Uyuni, stop researching and start booking. Go. And if you have the opportunity to tour with Julia and Constancio, you will be in outstanding hands.
Truly unforgettable.

This walking tour was a...
This walking tour was a fantastic way to get to know La Paz. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared a lot of interesting context about the city’s history, culture, and daily life. The group size was small, which made it easy to ask questions and stay engaged throughout the tour.
The highlight was definitely taking the cable cars up to El Alto — the views over La Paz are incredible and give you a completely different perspective of the city. The visit to El Alto felt authentic and informative, not rushed at all.
Overall, it was a well-organized, insightful experience and a great introduction to both La Paz and El Alto. Highly recommended, especially if it’s your first time in the city.

Great Introduction to Aymara Mansions (Cholets) in El Alto
Very fun and informative tour of El Alto, a visit to several Cholets with their creative and meaningful designs and also a trip to the Whipala Condominiums. Natalia did a great job explaining everything and also providing me many insights into Bolivian life. Many thanks!

Nice trip
well organized trip! It starts really early but it is worth it. The group was about 20 people and our guide, Emerson, had a good voice and sometimes used a microphone and explained what we saw. It is a beautiful landscape. I had wished that the boat to and from Sun Island was a bit faster and that there were not too much waiting time after the visit at Sun Island so that we could leave from Copacabana a earlier than 18.00. Copacabana is not a big town and we had time to check it out before going to Sun Island. Our guide Emerson was very helpful and nice and after he had explained something he went around in the bus asking if we had any questions. He also helped me arrange for a taxi so I got home around 22.00. All in all, a very well organized and nice trip!

Beautiful sites, great tour. LOTs of driving.
Beautiful sites, great tour. I didn't even realize this was a private tour. Our tour guide Nat was great and the driver Diego was a joy. It is a LOT of driving (about 6 hours) to see two sites, but we enjoyed it. The tour guide kept us engaged, the boat ride in Lake Titicaca was delightful, even on a chilly day, and Tiawanku is enlightening.

Death Road ! Epic
This experience was epic ! Our 3 guides were amazing and made us feel safe every step of the way . Took lots of breaks and explained everything to us along the way . Our driver / support van was great too … ok so here is how it was I’m a 63 yr old women the rest in their 20’s except for one dad . Loved the paved road but when we got onto death road I slowed down , I did not want to fall and one of the guides stayed back with me . I enjoyed zip lining and seeing the animals at the sanctuary. What a fun day

Great introduction to La Paz and highly recommend it
The guide Natalie was so informative and i learnt alot about Bolivia. We also stopped in a local place for a local snack which was delicious. There were 8 of us in the group and she explained things in both English and Spanish. Riding the cable cars was great. The whole outing gave me more confidence to continue exploring La Paz independently. Thankyou very much!!!

Hard hike. Amazing views
This is definitely the second most physically challenging thing I’ve ever done in my life, but the view at the end was absolutely worth it. The tour guide was very kind and knowledgeable. He didn’t make me feel bad about taking a really long time to complete the hike (the altitude really got to me), and was super supportive the whole way.

A super fun guide made this a super fun experience
Great fun and a safe way to experience the food and street food of Bolivia. Like all these trips, the success is down to the quality of the guide and Matt was terrific - fun, friendly and informative - he made the tour a 5 star experience. Highly recommended.
