What are people saying about Kyoto

We had an amazing day...
We had an amazing day exploring Kyoto with Papa Ninja (Kokoro). He took us to beautiful shrines and temples, explained the culture and introduced us to fantastic local eateries.
What really made the tour stand out was that he brought us to places away from the typical tourist crowds, giving us a chance to experience a more authentic side of Kyoto. His knowledge, sense of humor, and enthusiasm made the entire day enjoyable from start to finish.

Follow Valerie!
This is a great value with a lot of the major to-dos in Kyoto all at once and a friendly host in Valerie! She was thorough, made sure to keep everyone up to date on communications and to pivot and problem-solve as necessary to ensure that we all had a great time!

Exceptional tour with an amazing guide!
We had an incredible experience on the Kyoto Early Morning Tour, and that was largely thanks to our amazing guide, Riana! From start to finish, she was incredibly pleasant, friendly, and super helpful. Her deep knowledge of Kyoto brought the history and culture of the sites to life in a way we wouldn’t have experienced on our own. We highly recommend this tour and would absolutely book another tour with Riana as our guide in the future!

Great break from the crowds
A fun bike tour with a highly knowledgeable guide! It was so nice to get a break from the crowds and be taken to some of the "hidden" gems within the city. Getting to stop for some brown tea and mochi at an establishment that has been in business for over 1000 years was an extra surprise! Would highly recommend!

Kyoto private tour
Our private tour of Kyoto was an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, offering the perfect balance of iconic landmarks, cultural experiences, and beautiful scenery. The tour guide Miyuki was knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to share fascinating insights into Japan's history, traditions, and local culture. Miyuki suggested a very nice lunch place with gluten-free crepes, and they were so delicious! This tour exceeded our expectations and provided an authentic, stress-free way to experience the beauty and hospitality of Kyoto. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-organized and enriching travel experience.

Amazing tour of Kyoto
Naru gave us an absolutely outstanding walking tour of Kyoto and was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Japan. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and attentive throughout the day.
He took the time to understand what we wanted to see, tailored the itinerary to our interests, and made excellent recommendations along the way—every one of them turned out to be a great choice. His knowledge of Kyoto’s history, culture, and hidden gems made every stop more meaningful.
Despite less-than-ideal weather, we enjoyed every minute of the tour thanks to Naru’s positive attitude and thoughtful planning. He constantly checked in to make sure everyone was comfortable and adjusted the day seamlessly as needed.
If you’re visiting Kyoto and want a guide who is personable, professional, and truly passionate about sharing his city, I can’t recommend Naru highly enough. We would book another tour with him without hesitation.

Beautiful tradition....
Beautiful tradition. Having tea with our tea master was one of our Kyoto highlights. Getting dressed in the kimono is a wonderfully orchestrated process. You pick the color of your kimono and then your lovely team take it from there. Within minutes you are looking stunning in hour kimono. It’s a feeling you should really experience. Lots of photo opportunities. Tea service is rich in tradition. Highly recommend.

A fantastic journey into a truly scenic site of rural coastal Japan!
This wonderfully scenic journey into the rural west coast of Japan is highly recommended with its beautiful fishing villages, gentle beaches and dramatic lush green mountains. Boat and monorail tours are recommended options to fully explore this exciting experience! Jay, who was our tour guide, has a quirky sense of humour and is an excellent organizer, ensuring that we saw everything to schedule!

Alvin was great!
Alvin was a great guide and a kind human.
A side note that is slightly unrelated to Alvin and this tour: if you’re on a tour bus with a large group of people, it is inappropriate and incredibly disrespectful to talk to people on speaker phone. Please do a little research on the cultural norms so you don’t make tourists look as bad as they already do. This is out of Alvin’s hands, just be mindful!

Ninja Training
What a great time I had today, the ninja master took us through what ninja expectations were.
So we dressed up as ninjas learned how to use some of the weapons the ninjas use and their escape tactics. The ninja master and staff were so great it made for a great experience by every one in the class.
Highly recommend this for any one traveling solo and family’s great time will be had by all.
Cheers
