Thrills and fun on the water with Aquaholic

A bright, sun-washed day on the Bay of Kotor, I was glad for my scarf and beanie as we skimmed over the water, our driver confident and playful, matching the rhythm of the waves with a great soundtrack and a few joyful thrills. The views were breathtaking — mountains and picture perfect towns rising straight from the sea — and freedom felt tangible in every spray of water. Strangely enough, the highlight was what I’d expected least: the Cold-War-era submarine cave, echoing with history and mystery. The long ride to the Blue Cave was rough at the front, but once I moved mid-boat it was perfect. Friendly fellow passengers and a three-hour trip that felt full but unhurried — the ideal way to see Kotor from the water. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful three hour trip - interesting stories from Vlado, the Captain, added to the beautiful and dramatic landscape and fascinating sites. The secret submarine “garages” and blue cave were both spectacular and Our Lady on the Rocks and Mamula fortress have a taste of the distant past. We visited in late October so it was cooler (but not cold) and much less busy, which meant we were the only boat in the blue cave! If you’re driving from Croatia, take the Kamenari ferry if you’re looking to save driving time (thank you for the top tip Vlado)

We were 10 minutes late to our meeting place but the company accommodated us and put us for the next trip which was 15 minutes from our original time. Necause of the thunderstorm that occurred the night before our trip, the captain has to skip the blue cave portion of the excursion ,due to government regulation which was not there fault but instead brought us to the town of Perast, which was wortht a visit. We visited Our Lady of the Rock and the James Bond submarine tunnel . Downside, the visit time to Our Lady of the Rock was a bit short. The sunny weather adds up to our nice excursion plus the professionalism of both Capt. Aki and his partner. We were even allowed to seat at the rear end of the boat on our way back to Kotor. Overall, it was a perfect excursion and I highly recommend it.

Beyond fun! Simon was a fantastic guide. The ride down the mountain was easy. Do bring a light jacket as the temperature at altitude was a bit chilly. The “epic” turns were indeed epic! Highly recommend this trip. Best way to really see kotor and surrounding villages.

Lovely tour of Kotor

A great tour seeing the beautiful landscape of Kotor. Nice visit to the quaint town of Perast and then free time in the old city. Very enjoyable tour with our lovely guide Bojana. My only criticism was of the instructions given regarding the meeting place. Be prepared to walk about a mile to start the tour in order to board the transportation.

An amazing and complete introduction to this beautiful part of Montenegro

Amazing day trip to the north

We had a great day with Nadja the guide which was fantastic. Very friendly and professional and extremely knowlegable. She was awesome. The views were breathtaking and all the spots the tours stops at are great. Very much worth the long drive. Dormitor mountains are beautiful and the black lake too. Best thing to do in Montenegro.

Beautiful day in a gorgeous country

This is such a beautiful country, our ship entered in the fjords and we were surrounded by the bluest water and enormous tall mountains. The tour was fantastic. It was a private car with the owner of the company, Andros. He told us the history and took us to beautiful places. The village of Perast is both quaint and unbelievably scenic. Andros gave us plenty of time to explore. We stopped for coffee at a lovely shop on the water, and enjoyed a stunning view! Then we took a ferry to the other side and drove through quaint villages on the way back to Kotor. He took us high up a mountain to get a panoramic view of the port of Kotor. He dropped us off near where we were to catch the tender to get back to the ship. We spent a little time in the walled city before catching our tender. What a beautiful place! Andros could not have been nicer, and I highly recommend his tour!! P.S. it is worth noting that Montenegro is not very credit card friendly. Most places wanted cash, including the little boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks island in Perast. We weren’t able to go because they wouldn’t take credit cards. Get some cash. We had some for tipping, but were out by the time we got there!

We enjoyed the...

We enjoyed the experience, everything was as advertised. Driver did a good job navigating around all of the other boats and seemed to be enjoying himself which added to the fun. Total of 14 on the boat so no space to spread out, but didn’t feel cramped either. It was a bit hectic at the meeting location with all the other groups and tours but they seem to know what they are doing, arriving 30 minutes early as requested seemed unnecessary, 15 minutes should be more than enough. It was a great way to see some different sights around Kotor Bay and an opportunity to swim in some beautiful waters, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience

We loved every minute of this tour. Our captain, Alex, and his assistant, Lucky (our nickname for him!), were professional, personable, and attentive to our needs. They shared stories and history about the area, enabled us to see all the amazing sites, and packed as much as they could into our 3 hour trip. Additionally, they were able to accommodate our request to pick us up at our hotel (for an extra fee). That made it very easy for us. We highly recommend this tour!

Great boat and captain. Was friendly and gave explanation about the area and some history. We felt safe and secure during the ride. The only small downsize was that it’s not very warm at this time so with the boat and the wind you feel a bit cold so bring warm clothing to be on the safe side
