An amazing day trip and definitely one of the highlights of my visit to Montenegro. The scenery in Durmitor National Park was breathtaking, and Ostrog Monastery was truly unique and unforgettable. Our guide Nikolà was friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and shared many interesting facts about Montenegro throughout the journey. Everything was well organized, and despite the long day, it was absolutely worth it.

Fab experience! Tour guide Slav was brilliant, very engaging. Black Lake was stunning! Great to see more of Montenegro

We booked this tour based on the reviews on viator so we were aware of the longest journey. We booked it on Saturday and the monestry visit was cancelled in advance because of the crowd over the weekend. We had limited days in Montenegro and so we were upset however, the monestry point/time was replaced with scenic beauty which made everyone happy at the end. It was informed well advance still the entire bus was full. Only issue we faced was with the pick up point which was not clear to us that its their office in the castle where everyone should report first but we waited 20 minutes outside on/near the local bus stop and nearly missed it if my partner didnt ask the driver/guide for the issue when he brought everyone on that bus stop to get in the bus. We were always picked up for other tours in other countries directly on the road/stop when name is confirmed. However, other people on the bus confirmed that they particularly asked about the pick up point in message and we thought its the location mentioned on the iternary/main booking page only so we could have missed it.

It was an amazing day and especially Milo was very enthusiastic and shared a lot of stories and history about the places we visited. It was really a long day and without an amazing guide like him it would have been so boring

Brilliant day out in northern Montenegro
Such beautiful landscape
Perfect way to see the country
Very well organised

This tour is very comprehensive to explore North Montenegro in one full day. We could visit all highlight tourist destinations in North Montenegro, which are beautiful Durmitor National Park and Black Lake, Tara River Canyon, and Ostrog Monastery, and also some scenery photo stops along the way. The tour guide is very informative, he speaks very fluent English and very friendly. The driver is also expert in driving for such long destinations, especially when climbing the mountain in narrow street to Ostrog Monastery. Moreover, the tour price is also affordable and worth it for such long hours tour (total about 13 hours).

It was a wonderful trip, the drive is amazing, he drives mountain road so smoothly. And Lina was amazing, very informative and always care how we feel or anything we would like to know.

The tour was a great way to see some highlights in Montenegro! There is a lot of driving but the scenery is stunning along the entire drive! All stops are great and worth visiting and the tour guide Milos definitely did a great job of explaining the history or the country and telling a lot of personal stories! Milos is amazing!

Milo was an absolutely wonderful guide. He was funny and informative. I do wish there was less time for breakfast/lunch and more time for Durmitor National Park but the tour was very organized and we saw many unique sites in one day!

Great experience from booking, through to whatsapp updates day before and in person at meeting point.
Guide was Milo and driver was Dragon.
Milo was very knowledgeable, not only about the area but spoke about the culture and history of Montenegro.
Stopped opposite Perast for quick photo op and then stop for breakfast. Onwards to Black lake for a 50 min stop. Onto Tara river/Bridge. Unfortunately, some repairs are in progress and so scaffolding ruining opportunity for good pics, but still managed some.
Lunch stop and then monastery and back home. 13.5 hour journey, but due to frequent stops, it didn't feel tiring.
Milo filled in information along the journey to prevent boredom, whilst allowing snoozing times in the minibus. Comfortable air conditioned minivan.
Would recommend this and worth the money compared to say a cable car trip which is over in minutes.
Brilliantly organised. Well done to Monte 360 and guide Milo and driver Dragon for driving carefully and bri going us back home safely, despite the narrow winding roads to the monastery.

Itinerary arrangements are reasonable. We wish to stay longer in Durmitor though. Lunch is amazing, one of the best meal we had in our trip. Driver is skilled and the tour guide is careful and professional.

It is a wonderful experience, but it is a long day. If you have more time, break it up into more than one day, and one tour.
The tour itself was well run and the driver and guide Nina were excellent. The resturants that we stopped at for breakfast and lunch were just ok and a bit overpriced. I felt like we could have skipped the first stop at Perast seeing as how there was no time to go out to the Lady of the Rocks. It was disappointing that the Tara canyon Bridge was under repair, and not very photogenic. The monostary was amazing, and that alone made the tour worthwhile.

Highly recommend.. very interesting guide, who gave us soo much incredible knowledge of history & the land ... I would definitely give 5 stars
DcRee_P, May 2026
The tour started on time, and the transportation was comfortable. However, if you are traveling as a pair, seating together is not guaranteed since they use a van for the trip. The driver was skilled and handled the narrow, steep roads well.
The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and able to answer questions immediately. However, most explanations were only given inside the car, and I wish the guide had accompanied us at the locations while explaining the sites. It would also have been good to remind passengers to wear seat belts for safety because some roads were quite steep.
The viewpoints were scenic, but the highlight of the tour was definitely Durmitor National Park and the monastery, which were both memorable and beautiful. The food stops were also very good.
The price was reasonable for the distance traveled, but personally, I did not feel it was fully worth spending almost the whole day in the car while only having limited time at the lake and monastery. I wish we had more time at the lake to enjoy it properly.
Overall, I would rate this tour 3 stars mainly because of the beauty of Durmitor National Park and the monastery. If your main goal is to fully enjoy the lake, it may be better to stay there for a full day instead of visiting it as part of a long road trip.

It was a long day but we got to see another beautiful part of Montenegro. Prepare to sit in the car a lot but it was worth it, and to be expected. Tour guide was good. It is one of the popular tour in Montenegro and we were glad we joined this tour.

Milos was a fantastic tour guide, constantly telling fun stories, giving great local information and giving us plenty of time to explore each location. Highly entertaining & enough stops on the tour to never make it feel like you were on the coach too long. Great spot for breakfast and lunch too.
Still waiting for Paolo …

A wonderful day in the north. It's a long day but so worth it! Lots of driving, but the scenery is incredible and Igor was so engaging and made the tour so much fun. All stops were excellent and the restaurant for breakfast and lunch was excellent.
Hans_v, Apr 2026
We had an entertaining day. Our guide Milos had lots of stories to tell and had an answer on every question. The sites we visited were all beautiful and even the large amount of driving was no problem because the scenery is amazing everywhere. So we were very happy with this tour.

It was a great tour, with a very knowledgeable and kind guide who provided lots of interesting information about the places we visited.
The tour was full of stunning scenery and plenty of photo stops. The tour was a great way to explore the national park if you don’t have access to a car.
At the Tara Bridge, there is an optional zip line which in April 2026 cost €30pp.
The tour included a reasonably priced breakfast (€8-10) and lunch stop (€10-15) with multiple veggie options and a drink included in the price, the staff at our stops were very kind and welcoming.
Only thing to note is, due to signal the card machines may not work, so it’s worth bringing plenty of cash, especially if you want to zip line.
Lastly, if you’d really like to see the monastery don’t book over the orthodox Easter period which in 2026 was April 9-12th.

Great way to see Northern Montenegro! Be prepared for a very long day. Durmitor National Park was very beautiful. Bring cash for the food stops and national park fee.
Nik_D, Apr 2026
I joined this North Montenegro tour covering Durmitor, Tara and Ostrog, and overall the experience was amazing. The guide was excellent, very informative, professional and clearly very skilled. I learned a lot during the day and truly enjoyed the landscapes and the atmosphere. 🌄
Highlights included the stunning views of Durmitor National Park, the impressive Tara River Canyon, and the unforgettable visit to Ostrog Monastery. Everything was well organized and the tour ran smoothly. One useful tip for future visitors is that there is an entrance fee to visit Black Lake inside Durmitor National Park.
The only downside was the food pricing at Floyd Food Factory where we did our breaks and stops for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast was OK but quite expensive for what was offered. I really expected to pay around 3 or 4 euros for what was offered, but it ended up costing 8 euros. Lunch was also on the expensive side. For example, fries with a drink (just a beer) cost €6.50, which did not feel like good value.
Aside from the food prices, everything else was great and I really enjoyed the tour. That is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a great experience with grey line tours during our visit in montenegro. The locations were very scenic and it was well timed so we could see lots of montenegro in only one day. A special thanks to our guide Igor and the driver who were incredibly friendly, made lots of jokes and made the tour very memorable.

Great tour. Saw some beautiful spots. Could have skipped the church at the end as it was a long way up and only ok, but it does have important cultural significance so depends on your preferences

Positives:
Comfortable mini bus with USB charging points too.
Ostrog monastery is a very good place to visit.
Journeying through the North Montenegrin countryside and mountains was a good experience.
Black lake was so beautiful, in the backdrop of the mountains and the coniferous trees, and the mist in the air. If only there was more time to explore it.
Negatives:
The guide Slavos didn't really seem interested in being as descriptive as another guide Davor (who does the Great Montenegro tour with the same tour company). Didn't seem too keen to answer questions about the places. Seemed as if he was doing us a favour by doing so. And he would turn his face away and answer in monosyllables. Very insulting. He should take a leaf out of Davor's book and be a bit more proactive about the rich history of the country, especially for foreigners visiting the place for the first time. For the lady of the rocks viewing and some bits of the Ostrog monastery- information was given AFTER visiting the places. Instead, he could have given the relevant information (including when was the monastery built, which we had to ask him) about the places just prior to arrival.
Could have spent more time/arrived early at the black lake (in Durmitor national park)- only the larger part of the lake could be covered, not the smaller, deeper part. No other site is covered in the park. (Taro canyon was covered before entering the actual park). Only 30 minutes were given for exploring the lake. The remaining 30 minutes were for lunch. Something for the tour operator to ponder about in the future. It doesn't make sense to separately pay the entry fees to the national park (5€ per person) and just spending 30 minutes exploring one location only.
The guide mentioned that the time for the monastery would be 20-25 minutes (tour description said 45 mins). Everyone got back on time on the bus, and we only left the place after waiting 10-15 minutes in the minibus (while he was talking on the phone). Could have instead given more time at the monastery.
Overall, I would suggest that if you do wish to do this tour with the 360 Montenegro company, please clarify who shall the guide be on the day; and preferably avoid the tour if Slavos is going to be your guide (to have a knowledgeable experience).

A great highlight trip to North Montenegro for those who don’t have the time to overnight there! Milos was a great guide!!
Aimee_S, Oct 2025
Amazing day, got to see so much and even the crap weather couldn't ruin it in my opinion, highly recommend and our tour guide was great always keeping us informed of whats happening 😁
Anil_P, Oct 2025
Stunning scenery, great guide but long windy roads. Could do spending more time at black lake say 2hrs.

This was an excellent way to get to northern Montenegro. Nadja was our guide, and she did an excellent job explaining the history of the country and details on all the places we were visiting. There is an opportunity to do a zip line, which is really fun, and good breakfast and lunch stops along the way. It is a long day, so be prepared for that, and also be prepared to pay with cash at various meal stops and the zip line. We were very impressed with 360 Monte

Slavko was a very informative and entertaining guide. Excellent driving as well through many difficult areas. Views were really beautiful. Great day out! Thank you!

We had a great day with Nadja the guide which was fantastic. Very friendly and professional and extremely knowlegable. She was awesome. The views were breathtaking and all the spots the tours stops at are great. Very much worth the long drive. Dormitor mountains are beautiful and the black lake too. Best thing to do in Montenegro.
